Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2015
FANTASTIC!!! Most likely the first recipe that I cooked just like the recipe said. If I was going to make it and serve it with rice or noodles I would double the sauce. Simple and delicious!!

Simple, diverse, to the point. Husband loved it. Served it with white rice. Perfect Asian inspired dish. Easy recipe to switch out the pork for chicken, beef or shrimp.

Chili Seasoning Mix II

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2015
Excellent!!! I will not buy package mix again. Omit flour add 2tbs cornstarch for gluten free. Less spicy decrease red pepper to 1/2 to 1 tsp.

Basic Crepes

Love it!! Very versatile to adapt to sweet or savory filling. I added about 1tbs sugar as I was planning on lightly sweetened strawberries. Yum! Perfect wrapper for lots of fillings.

I LOVE THIS!!! I was entering a chili contest and wanted something different. This was a great base for Indian Butter Chicken Chili which won second, only behind someone's chili that has won 5 times. It was a hit! Thank you for sharing an amazing recipe. I have created Indian Chicken Chili from this recipe if anyone wants to check it out!

CB's Black Eyed Peas made easy! Great recipe to add your favorite veggies.

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2015
I loved it as a great base! It would have been fine just like it is yet I knew when I read it that is was perfect to add a few of my favorites. I tweeked it so I will share what I did in a new recipe. Using canned black eyed peas makes this recipe go a little faster.

Artichoke Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2014
Easy, Very Tasty, and portable. I added a little spice that I prefer, yet that does not take anything away from this recipe. This is a great basic dip that has so much diversity with a few items of personal preference. Thank you for sharing.

Just Like Wendy's® Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2014
Excellent recipe! Going to make it again and again. Chili is very diverse and everyone has there taste preference when it comes to chili. If you do not like the flavor of Wendys chili do not make this recipe thinking it's going to be different. And please do not offer your comments and rating. I rated this recipe based on the fact that I love Wendys chili and how close does this chili come to that flavor. Very close and the flavor perfect.... Is it Wendys? NO, you only get Wendys chili at Wendys! Is it a good rendition.. Oh yes..... And it's even better on day 2!!!! If you choose to review a recipe make sure you made the recipe as posted. Do not review a recipe if you changed it all up and then don't like. A less than 4 or 5 star review of a changed up recipe is a review of ones own poor cooking skills. Be real!!!

Homemade Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
I love this recipe.... and it gets 5 stars because I know to add about 2" chunk of Velveeta Cheese cut into small pieces and added to the cheese sauce. This makes the cheese sauce nice and creamy!!! Thank you for a great recipe. It was loved this Thanksgiving.

Simple Baked Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2013
I LOVED THESE BEANS, and after reading some of the reviews there were some hints that I really liked. I wanted to serve about 10- 15 ppl. I used two large cans of the Bush's original and one of the bold and spicy. I cooked about 4- 5 pieces of bacon that I cut into small pieces before cooking. I then sauté'd the onions in the bacon grease until translucent to lightly browned. Mix together the beans, mustard, Ketchup, molasses, SKIP the brown sugar unless you like the beans even more on the sweet sweet side. MIX IN the bacon and onions. I used at least a half of large onion, 2tbs mustard and 1/4 cup ketchup. I then placed in oven cover and bake for three hours. LOVELY smell in the house, and the taste... MMMMM fabulous!!! Tastes like you cooked them completely from scratch!!

Pumpkin Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2013
Well this was the first time I can honestly say I wasn't impressed with a recipe. I wasn't happy with the "crisp" part of this recipe. It was not crispy. All the recipes for Pumpkin Cake or Upside Down Pumpkin Cake have a very nice crisp/crunchy topping. I like the idea of a crust like layer on the bottom of this recipe. And the pie filling was very good. After this point I would now follow the recipe for those other cakes and use another box of yellow cake mix and sprinkle the dry ingredients all over the pie filling, and then about 2 cups chopped pecans, followed by 1/2 cup melted butter poured evenly over the top. May want to use a little more butter. Then cook as per the recipe. The cake mix on top cooked this way with the pecans, etc give the cake a very nice crunchy top!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
I LOVED THIS CHEESECAKE! This was my second time making cheesecake ever, first being a Red Velvet Cheesecake several years ago(it too was awesome). I am not so concerned with the top cracking a little as I always top mine. I put two bread pans of broiling water on the second rack, one on each side of the oven, instead of doing the whole foil water mess. Maybe some day I will try it. I did add some pecans to my crust as I like that a lot! I would not change another things... except maybe a wonderful Fresh Strawberry Topping that I made to put over it. I made a water/sugar/cornstarch mixture and cooked until boiling, then added about a cup of chopped/mashed strawberries and cooked it a while longer. I then poured this over 2 cups of sliced strawberries - mixed it together. I put this in a bowl next to the cake so those that wanted topping could have it! The strawberries remain very fresh tasting and have perfect sweetness!
