Livin life fully filled with food and fun!!!
About this Cook
I grew up in rural Oregon, went to college in Northwest Washington. Left Oregon for dryer country when I was 36 - found Huntsville, AL and never left.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta dishes, soups and stews in a crockpot and desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Lefsa and Kringla during the holidays.
My cooking triumphs
Being able to throw stuff together without a recipe like my mom always did and it come out tasting great!!! I have learned to write down what I am throwing together if I plan to take what I am throwing together to a potluck!!!!!
My cooking tragedies
I cannot cook good cornbread so I leave that to Jiffy or Martha White!!!! They do an amazing job at a great price too!

Honey Pork Oriental
Simple, diverse, to the point. Husband loved it. Served it with white rice. Perfect Asian inspired dish. Easy recipe to switch out the pork for chicken, beef or shrimp.

Chili Seasoning Mix II
Excellent!!! I will not buy package mix again. Omit flour add 2tbs cornstarch for gluten free. Less spicy decrease red pepper to 1/2 to 1 tsp.

Basic Crepes
Love it!! Very versatile to adapt to sweet or savory filling. I added about 1tbs sugar as I was planning on lightly sweetened strawberries. Yum! Perfect wrapper for lots of fillings.
