Chicken Satay
Mistake number 1: All Mine. I began to put this recipe together after seeing it had 4.5 out of 5 stars and before I read any of the reviews. Mistake number 2: Followed the recipe My husband stood behind me as I measured the lemon juice and soy sauce. He was saying...that's a LOT of sour and salty juice. Things started to go better after I added more peanut butter, more brown sugar....and then they really turned around when we agreed we were NOT going to add the chicken. Thanks to the November 2011 reviewer, we spared our chicken, too. My husband is going to make the standby chicken and black bean casserole.

Papa Drexler's Bavarian Pretzels
Yum! I made these as rolls. I divided one batch into about 8 rolls before boiling them. I used regaular table salt. Can't see it, but the taste is till there. This was my first pretzel baking experience. It will not be my last. Thank you.

Szechuan Spicy Eggplant
We made this with bison, not beef and shrimp. We liked this recipe, but have vowed to make it better for our taste. Next time we make it, we will reduce the soy sauce, double the garlic and ginger, and eliminate the corn starch. We didn't have much sauce to go over the rice, and imagine our liquids were less because we used bison (less fat than beef). But, got Brian to eat the eggplant. Cheers!
