Mediterranean Turkey Pita Fold

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
This was really good! I did change a few things. I used tofu (instead of turkey) fried it with oregano and garlic. I mixed the tofu with black olives and stewed tomatos. Mixed the rest of tomatos in some left over rice. Assembled in a tortilla wrap as listed. Added some avacodo. Amazing!! Will make this again. Might try the turkey and pita next time.

Tofu Lasagna

This was really good. I used a whole can of tomato sauce and still think it could have used some more. Next time I will also add more veggies, zucchini and mushrooms. UPDATE: Made this again, sauteed mush and zuc's with onion and garlic. So good! My hubs and 5 yr old love this too.

Tomato Curry Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
This was the best chicken recipe I have ever made!! My hubby loved this - that doesn't often happen. I followed the recipe exactly, then added more curry powder, garam masala and cardamom as per the advice of another reviewer.

This recipe was amazing!!! I follwed it almost exact, just made a few minor changes, used coconut milk for a lower fat/non dairy version and added garam masala. My husband was so impressed, especially since cooking indian food was always his specialty...now it's mine ;)

This was so amazing! My 1yr. old and 6 yr. old also loved this. I made some changes...I boiled and mashed carrots and potatos together, added fresh chopped spinach to the mash. I use soy ground round in place of real beef.

Herbed Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
This was one of the best soup recipes I have ever made. I made a few small changes. I boiled the potatos in chicken broth and added zucchini and green beens to the pot. I added garlic to the pan with onion, then added chopped spinach to the soup when it was done. It was a bit too thick for me so I will add more broth next time. So, so good!!

Moroccan Chickpea Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2014
Amazing! Made a few changes; used half sweet potato & half white. Will use even more sweet potato next time. I doubled the curry powder & due to the fact I used sweet potato I omitted the apricots & used half the amount of raisins. Omitted the tomato sauce & used my favourite veggie broth. Used fresh tomatos in place of canned. My only regret is that I did not double the recipe. My kids ate 2 bowls full & there were no leftovers.

Make-Ahead Vegetarian Moroccan Stew

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2014
Love this recipe! I have made it many times (with a few changes). I have 2 girls (6 & 11) & they always devour it. The changes; Sautee 3 cloves of garlic with the onions. I Omit the honey & dried apricots. We are not 'sweet' eaters so the cinnamon is enough for us. I increase the spice mixture to 1.5 (aside from the salt, I keep as is). Use spinach in place of kale (I always have it on hand). I use 'chili' style canned tomatoes & canned lentils. If I don't feel like standing in the kitchen I just throw it all in a pot & let it simmer for a few hours - it still turns out amazing!

Chef John's Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2014
Love this recipe! Actually all of Chef John's recipes that I've tried I love. The only thing I do differently is omit the sausage & add 1 tsp of fennel & 1/2 tsp of sage (recommended by another review) & use organic ground turkey. Oh, & I use organic chicken broth instead of beef. :)

These were amazing! I left out the final process of butter/garlic. I used 1/2 tsp of garlic salt instead of the reg. salt. So good and extremely easy! Will make again for sure!

Potato Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
I am hard to please when it comes to soups and stews, however, I really loved this. It was exactly what I was craving during this crazy snow storm. I left out the mushrooms and frozen veg. I added left over corn nib. Served with cheese biscuits from this site. Delish!
