The Ultimate Burger Topping

Wow, this got rave reviews from the entire family. Very tasty and it also would be great on a baked potato or as a dip. The only thing I changed was to saute the onion and garlic in the bacon drippings instead of olive oil. Definitely will make this again but will have to make more of it. In fact, everyone wanted to just eat it with a spoon!!!

Italian Style Meatloaf I

We had this for dinner last night and is was delicious and very easy to make. However, I used homemade sourdough bread crumbs and added garlic and onions. Other than that I followed it to the letter and the entire family loved it. The leftovers made a tasty sandwich for lunch today. Next time I 'm going to try substituting 1/3 of the ground beef with some mild italian sausage.

Creamy Split Pea Soup

Delicious...delicious...delicious. This is the second time I've made it, once with half and half and once with the heavy cream and both are good. I added one chopped up carrot (you can't have too many vegies) pureed it with an immersion blender then added the ham. Also, I had some chicken broth open and substitued that for part of the water. Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy

Great taste and it's nice to have the gravy done ahead of time. We had over 20 people for Thanksgiving with two different turkeys, one baked in the oven and the other deep fried. Because of the quantities of food I had to prepare I was looking forward to having the gravy already prepared. I had a ton of pan drippings from the oven baked turkey and simply poured them into the gravy making it even tastier. Knowing I was going to do this I thickened it with more flour than originally called for. Turned out excellent and we had plenty as I doubled the recipe. This recipe takes quite awhile to make and I'm not sure it would be worth the time for a smaller dinner party but with over 20 guests it saved me a lot of last minute prep work. Thank you for a great recipe!!

Yummy Eggnog Pie

This is fantastic!!! All of our Christmas guests loved it....I had no problems with it setting up and the flavor was excellent. I did take one reviewers suggestion and used half the amount of whipping cream and not having rum I used 2 tablespoons of whiskey. I'm not sure why some people had problems with it setting up unless they accidently used instant instead of the pudding you have to cook. Everyone loved it and next time I'll have to make two pies!!!!

Hash Brown Quiche

Our family loved this recipe although we altered it as many others have done. That's what makes this recipes so great is that you can adapt it to whatever ingredients you want to add including adding extra eggs or topping with salsa and sour cream and it turns out great!!! Just add to the cooking time for the extra ingredients...this is a keeper!!!

Quick And Easy Mexican Chicken

Loved this recipe and it's so easy to make. I always pound my chicken breasts to make them cook evenly and more moist and tender. I used a salsa from one of our local mexican restaurants that is smooth and has great flavor and quite a kick. Not only is this quick and easy, it's simple to adapt to how many chicken breasts you wish to prepare. I'll definitely make this again.

Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches

I've made this recipe twice. The first time I would have given it a ten the second time a two or three. My conclusion is that the brand of corned beef can make a big difference and not the recipe. Loved the recipe...I also love to save the broth and use it to make homemade soups.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Thanks for a great recipe. Even some of my guests who are not avid broccoli eaters loved this. After reading many of the reviews I cut the dressing recipe in half and used half the amount of sugar. How many heads of broccoli you use depends on their size. At my local grocery store that would be about 4 heads. I'm looking forward to making this again...

Garlic Lover's Chicken

I have made this dish numerous times and it always gets rave reviews. A few minor changes I made are to pound the chicken breasts to 1/2 inch thick, use 3 or 4 cloves of garlic and make my own sourdough bread crumbs. Very easy to make and delicious!!!!
