Stuffed Hot Peppers

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2013
I've been making this every summer for 4 years now & we love it! I often put more sausage in (up to a pound & then we eat it as a meal) but usually I go with over a half lb (1.25lb package cut in half).I also decrease the garlic salt & put garlic powder in. Those little changes are just personal preference. We just love this recipe!

Raspberry Pie I

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
This was fantastic! I used fresh picked black raspberries and I took the advice of another review & only added 4 T of water because of the remaining water on the washed the berries... came out perfect!!!

Carrot Apple Salad

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
This was a fantastic salad. I made it for a crowd and had less than 1 serving left over which told me everyone liked it. I even had several people ask for the recipe. I used all plain yogurt (didn't have any vanilla on hand) & added 1 Tablespoon of sugar to take the place of the vanilla. I also added about 1/2 teaspoon of salt & 1/4 teaspoon of celery seed to jazz it up (like others said, it was missing something) I also added chopped walnuts & omitted the coconut (personal preference). Great base that's easy to personalize. Oh & you can't even tell that its a "lightened up" version! Yum! Thanks Kim for a great salad!

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
This was fantastic! I made it with fewer potatoes but kept the rest the same. There were only a few leftovers but they didn't last long!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
I didn't really make any changes to this except adding a small can of tomato sauce with the paste. It was WONDERFUL!!! Mine needed to simmer a little longer & it was ever better the longer it simmered. Thanks for the great recipe!

Mussels Marinara di Amore

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
This was absolutely WONDERFUL! I must admit that I was skeptical, but it turned out fantastic. The only change I made was to add a shallot with the garlic. This will be the only way I make mussels at home!

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2008
I thought this was a wonderful recipe. We like things hot so I increased the cayenne with about 3 times as much as the recipe called for. I also doubled the other spices and added garlic powder. The cast iron skillet is the key to this recipe. It worked great starting it on the stove & transferring to the oven. Mine was very moist & juicy... perfectly wonderful!

Greek Orzo Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
This is a wonderful salad! It was a great side for the Grecian Pork Tenderloin also on this site. I found that it made a lot, but the leftovers were even better than the salad the first day. I think next time I’ll make it a day ahead or at least the morning before I serve it. Also, I didn’t use the artichoke marinade & used the dressing suggested by Dining Diva. Thanks for the recipe!

Grecian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
This was WONDERFUL!!!! It is our new favorite! I followed other reviews & cut the recipe in half and there was plenty. I also decided to use half lime & half lemon juice… so tasty! The other changes I made from the original recipe were to add fresh cracked pepper & go a little shy on the oregano. I also broiled the meat instead of grilling & it was prefect. Great recipe! Thanks so much Dave!!!

London Broil II

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
I must admit that I was skeptical about this recipe, but it came out WONDERFUL! I did make a few changes as others had suggested and added about 2-3 Tbls of Lemon juice (to tenderize the meat) and 2-3 tsp of worchestershire sauce. I let it sit for about 7 hrs and then cooked it on the grill… it was fantastic! And Daniel is right, you don’t need the steak sauce – Thanks for the great recipe!

Cold Asparagus with Prosciutto and Lemon

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
This is great! I did make a few minor changes, I wrapped only 1 or 2 pieces of asparagus not 5 (we really like prosciutto) and I put the lemon on the asparagus before I wrapped them (more lemon flavor on the asparagus).

Butterscotch Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
I was quite disappointed in the recipe. I certainly didn't have the traditional butterscotch flavor I was looking for (its more like brown sugar pudding) & its texture wasn't as smooth and creamy as I would have liked. I was looking forward to this one, but I won't be making it again.
