Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
We loved this recipe! I used olive oil instead of canola and red wine vinegar instead of white. Also did not have garlic salt and just used garlic powder. Also cut the salt to 1 tablespoon based on other reviews.

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
Tastes okay, looks funny, with specks of darker brown in it, like something didn't blend in well. Maybe I did something wrong.

Bratwurst Potato Skillet

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
This was delicious!! The only substitution I made was olive oil for the vegetable oil. I think you could add more potatoes and bratwurst and still have the same taste. I would not change a thing about the soy sauce/orange juice sauce--I think it was excellent and what made this dish.

Banana Split Oat Bran Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
Forget the whipped cream and fudge sauce. These are delicious with just the melted strawberry preserves, and probably a bit healthier that way too. My family loves these pancakes. I did use just plain oat bran, I don't know if that is different than oat bran hot cereal, but they were good either way. Great way to use up bananas too ripe to eat alone-- and easier than banana bread.

Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
I used old fashioned oats instead of quick cooking, and mixed by hand. After dropping them on the cookie sheet, I also flatted out a bit, considered some of the comments that they didn't spread much. Definitely a little different than your usual oatmeal raising, but turned out great--not too cake-like at all.
