Ham Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
I made this tonight for my daughter and I to use up some leftover Easter ham. I really wasn't expecting much, but was I wrong! I sauteed the onion in butter and crushed garlic. I only had Ziti pasta, so that's what I used. I threw in whatever shredded cheese I had on hand, cheddar, mozz, and a Mexican blend. I didn't have any fresh parsley, or pimento peppers on hand so I added some leftover chopped green beans to the onion garlic mixture for about a minute. After everything was mixed up, I then added some blue cheese crumbles. It was delicious! Thank you Susan for a tasty, adaptable recipe!! I'll be making this one again.

Chicken Wing Dip

This dip is delicious!! I used precooked chicken by Purdue, sauteed it in Pete's Buffalo Sauce along with some chopped up celery. I then followed the recipe to a tee. Just...awesome!! Thanks for the recipe. I'll be making this often!!

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
This was surprisingly delicious! I chose to skip the pepperoni and went with sausage bits, and mushrooms instead. I also layered mine by putting half the pasta mix on the bottom, then a layer of cheese, then the rest of the pasta. Baked for the required time, added a top layer of cheese for the rest of the cooking time. My family and I loved it! Thanks for the great recipe!!

Baked Beans II

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
I made these tonight for dinner. Awesome! So easy, and so tasty. I cut the recipe back because there were only three of us. I did use less brown sugar than called for. I also fried my bacon ahead of time, the sauteed the onions in the leftover bacon grease. I didn't have any red wine vinegar on hand so skipped it. Just one delicious recipe that was super easy to make. Thank you, Jackie!

Fried Dill Pickles

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
OMG!! These were just what I woke up craving today. (No I'm not pregnant!;) They were delicious. I added a little Franks Hot Sauce to the milk and egg wash, and some pepper, garlic, and onion powder to the flour coating. I skipped the Worcestershire sauce because I didn't want them to be too salty. I cooked them up in no time, then ate them all. I only made a small amount. I'll be making these again! Thanks for the share.

This was to die for delicious! I used frozen shrimp, and mini penne pasta. I cooked the shrimp in half olive oil and half butter. Threw in some chopped red bell peppers, garlic, garlic, garlic!, pepper, and onion powder. I can't wait to make this again. It was a hit with my family. Served it with a tossed salad, and garlic bread. Yum!!

Delicious!! I made it for one..me! I added some pepper, and chili powder to the eggs. I was out of canned diced tomatoes with chilies, so I used some diced up tomatoes and salsa. Also topped with shredded mexican cheese. Will be making again!! Thanks, A.

Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
This chicken was really yummy. I did add my own touches. I seasoned the mayonnaise (I used Lite) with some pepper, garlic, and onion powder. I also made my own topping with crushed butter crackers. I then added garlic powder, pepper, onion powder, and Parmesan cheese to the topping. After I put the mayonnaise on the chicken, I dipped it in the topping. My family loved this! I'll be making this again.

Angela's Easy Breaded Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
While I liked the ease of this recipe, I didn't like the end product. If I make this again I'll use Ritz crackers as a coating. The bread crumbs just seemed too mushy for me. I did as many reviewers did: I cooked the chicken on a rack, added spices to the bread crumbs, and broiled for the last five minutes of the cooking time. Still just so-so.

French Toast Casserole

This has become my favorite "breakfast for dinner" casserole. I've made it at least three times in the past four weeks. I add a few peeled, chopped up apples to the mix. Delicious! I serve it with bacon cooked on my Foreman grill. Five stars all the way!! Thanks for this recipe Starflower!

Awesome Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
I thought that this was very good. I DID tweak it a little. I used fat free yogurt instead of sour cream, added some chicken, and a little ham. I omitted the corn, and added spinach instead. I sauteed the onion with some fresh mushrooms in garlic and olive oil. Made the topping with crushed Ritz crackers mixed with some onion & garlic powder then mixed in some chicken broth. I also used reduced fat soup and cheese. It was delicious! Thanks for the post, Cobra!!

Super Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2010
This was a good starter recipe! I didn't have the chicken and herb soup on hand. Instead I used one can of Golden Mushroom, and one can of reduced sodium Cream of Chicken. I also added some frozen mixed veggies, garlic, onion powder, pepper, chicken broth (instead of the wine), then, at the end of cooking time, added some Swiss cheese. Perfect! Big hit!! Served with garlic bread. I'll be making this again! Thanks, Jamie!

Toasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2010
Probably the best garlic bread I've EVER made! I only had "jarred" garlic, but it still worked. There's just something about the olive oil, garlic, and all the spices that just.."meld" together. Delicious!! I'd give this recipe ten stars if I could!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
I just made this soup today. I had to try it before dinner, because I couldn't wait! It's by far THE best soup I've ever had/made! I'd give it ten stars if I could. I substituted low sodium chicken broth for the beer. For the corn I used frozen Southwestern flavored. Added some garlic powder, chili powder, and some onion powder. This soup is AWESOME!! Thanks for the recipe! It's a keeper!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
This is the best meatloaf I've ever had! I did alter it a bit. I put the glaze on top, which I made with Sweet Baby Rays barbeque sauce, a little ketchup, black pepper, and about 1/4 cup of brown sugar. I also put some onion powder and black pepper on the top before I added the glaze.I did cut back on the milk a little. I just didn't think it needed that much. And, I added crushed garlic to the meatloaf mix. Wow! What a great meal! Very easy to put together.

I just made this for dinner tonight. It's all I ate! Delicious. I didn't have fresh mushrooms on hand, so I had to use canned. :( I also had to use red onion instead of green. I added some garlic, black pepper, grilled chicken, and onion powder. Came out wonderful. Thanks for the recipe.

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2008
This was so wonderful! I had to make a few changes because I didn't have some of the ingredients on hand. I used shredded Cheddar cheese instead of Swiss, and crushed Ritz crackers instead of bread crumbs. I then added some canned mushroom to the sauce. This chicken turned out so tender, I could cut it with a fork. Wonderful recipe! Thanks so much.

Chicken Pot Pie I

This is a great starter recipe. I did tweak it a bit. I mixed one can of cream of mushroom soup, and one can of cream of chicken soup, both low sodium. I added frozen peas and carrots, and a can of mushrooms. For the topping I crushed about 25 Ritz crackers and mixed them with melted butter. Delicious!! My family devoured it.

Bar Cookies from Cake Mix

I made these last night. They were a big hit with my family. I used a yellow cake mix because it was what I had on hand. I added a little vanilla extract, two eggs, and a little oil. Delicious! Very easy to make, and a very quick clean up.

Peanut Butter Pie XIX

I made this for my family Christmas party. Of all the desserts, this was the first and only to go. It was a huge hit! I got rave reviews on it. I do think the next time I make it I'll cut back on the amount of sugar. Thanks for the great recipe!! I also want to add that I used an Oreo cookie crust and drizzled melted chocolate on the top. Yummy!
