Fry Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
So good! Mix the dough together slowly with nice folds, make your disks thin before frying. I think the next time I make it I will add a tablespoon of sugar!

Amish Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2012
I make this on the dough setting in my bread maker, I need to bump the flour up to 3 cups and it is still sticky dough! So when it comes time to punching down and re-shaping for the pan I just make sure to flour my surfaces liberally! You get one large loaf of bread with this if you make it 18 servings you can get two smaller loafs that are perfect in our house. I have made this recipe several times trying butter, oil and coconut oil we prefer coconut oil in this house but each one worked well with the recipe :)

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
These are the most peanut buttery cookies ever! They are a hit every time! I like to use an all natural peanut butter so there isn't any extra sugar. I love the recipie just the way it is, one time I forgot the milk, and the cookies turned out dryer but the textre did this crumbly melty thing when you ate em, nom nom!

Cranberry Orange Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
This bread is delicious! After trying the recipe by the directions I added a bit of my own to it by replacing half the flour with whole wheat pastry flour, fresh ginger and a little bit of vanilla. One tip, this is a dense dough, so the outside can look done but the inside still needs some baking, I just starting making them into muffins!

Rigatoni Pasta with Chorizo

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
Love it, of course I did my own thing with it but the inspiration is there! I used a vegetarian chorizo, added some cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, tomato paste instead of the milk, little sugar to cut the canned tomato taste . And it turns into a super spicy dish!

Grandpop's Special Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
Great recipe, I will definitely used again I did substitute 1 cup of the all-purpose flour with cake flour I was worried when I saw how runny the batter was, but they turned out perfect *update* I've made this recipe about ten times now, the trick is to not overfill the cups using about 1/4 cup batter per cupcake! I also ran out of my dark chocolate powder once and tried to substitute melted baking chocolate the cupcakes ended up dry and mediocre :P

Golden Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: May 20, 2010
Used this recipe in my bread maker turned wonderfully! I only had one envelope of yeast and they still made HUGE crescents! I made them in to garlic herb crescents by adding some oregano basil and one crushed clove garlic to the mix. Then made a mix of 4 cloves garlic, oregano, basil and parsley to 1/4 cup melted butter and brushed on top before putting them in the oven. They were a big hit at the potluck.
