Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
So delicious!!! I have never made this before and I had to improvise with some ingredients... I used cream of chicken condensed soup instead of the french onion and used a dry onion soup mix as well. For the meat I used the chicken soup, half the packet of the soup mix and the rest of the ingredients as stated... I also used plain mustard instead of mustard seasoning for the gravy as I didnt have any. It was HUGE hit for my family and I will definitely make it int he future! I served it over polenta and herb goat cheese! Yum!!

Party Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
this is a great tasting potato dish! I made this for a Christmas eve get together with my home group. The changes I made was I added some onion dip as well as the cream cheese and sour cream. Instead of onion salt I used garlic salt and a jalapeno spice blend I have at the house! topped it with cheese and crumbled bacon! Delicious and a HUGE hit with everyone!!

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
The recipe was good but I was craving a little more flavor. I used green onions instead of regular onions and also used the 3 cheese mexican blend. We added some chicken too... I think next time I may also put in some pepper jack cheese to add more spice and also may be squeeze some fresh lime as well. Overall we enjoyed it though!!

Slow-Cooked Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
Great recipe! there were a few changes I made: I used 1lb ground beef and 1lb ground turkey, I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes with green chillies, a red bell pepper instead of green, and added 2 tblsp vinegar, and 1/8 tsp cayenne and onion powder. It was amazing!! I left it to cook on low for 10 hours in the crock pot and served it over apple sticky rice in bowls! My husband was so impressed and cant wait for me to make more!!

Pico de Gallo

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2011
This was awesome and so delicious! I made this for my homegroup game night and eveyone wanted the recipe. crazy thing about me is I usually am not a fan of tomatos or onion but with this dish I can eat the whole thing! The only things I did differently were add a little more fresh garlic and cilantro and a tablespoon of vinegar!

Greek Potato Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
This is a first for me but I did not like this and I was bummed because I love all the ingredients. I really like bold flavors and I felt like this recipe was bland. I needed to have an olive in each bite to have any flavor. Also the sauce was... Well there was none. I even added water and by the end it was just mush. Its too bad cause I was hoping to like it.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
Wow! I love fish tacos but never thought I would be able to make them myself. This recipe is a keeper for sure! I changed some things due to what I had on hand. I didn't have dill weed so I used a teaspoon of dill pickle juice. I omitted the jalapeno and used a mixture of the yogurt, mayo and also sour cream. It was fabulous! The batter was awesome too! I added some salt after they came out as recommended and it was amazing! When we put the tacos together I used fresh cilantro And fresh homemade pico yum! We will make this over and over!

Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2011
this was only OK. Granted I did overcook the tuna (whish was my fault) but I felt it lacked flavor, with the exception og when you ate a peppercorn. I agree that the texture of the peppercorns were great and tastey but other then that I desired more of a punch of flavor.

Delicious Deep Fried Pickles

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
I LOVE deep fried Pickles and was so excited to try this with my husband. I love th recipe except that the breading on my pickles came off some of them in the oil and also slid off when we picked up the pickles :( My oil may not have been right but who knows... I think i will try this awesome beer batter recipe I found on this site to make fish tacos. I would have given it 5 stars if my breading hadnt of fallen off.

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
This alfredo sauce was very good however I didnt love it. I have made alfredo with the olive garden recipe and I love the richness and depth of the flavor. this was very close but it missed something for me in the fullness of the sauce. I believe that the egg adds a richness that I like. Its very good though and easy to make!! :)
