Just moved to Los Angeles as my brother was in a car accident and is in need of some help. I am single (as is he), able and willing to assist. Having cooked for many years it is something that is enjoyable and I am pretty good. I love this website and have many recipes in my 'box'. Yes, many recipes get changed but I like to read all the comments before I venture out to give them a try. All the new twists give me an idea just how great they are going to be. Thanks for all the great recipes!
My favorite things to cook
I am always trying to break out of my usual menu items. My brother has a problem chewing (bad teeth) so look for recipes that please him. I have him hooked on some good soups:)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother was a first generation German family and married my father was 2nd generation Norwegian. Mom was a great cook and could make a gourmet meal from the left-overs in the refrigerator. She loved to add her own seasoning until it was just right! I was a very willing 'sampler' and thus my interest in cooking. Never having the same things as left-overs resulted in mom using great creativity to bring a great meal together. She was also willing to learn to cook Scandinavian dishes that my dad had grown up on. We had the best of both worlds.
My cooking triumphs
Too many to mention;) I will get back to this section down the road.
My cooking tragedies
Same as above - - too many:(
