About this Cook
I'm definitely not much of a cook, so any recipes I have submitted are incredibly simple but delicious. I would much rather bake treats for friends and family than cook dinner - that's where my hubby comes in!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and make "treats", so my faves are in the Sugar category. Applesauce cookies, peanut butter pie, almond roca, Red White & Blue jello salad, snickerdoodles, and 'scotch treats are all normal offerings!
My favorite family cooking traditions
It's all about the baked goods at Christmas! My mother would always make fudge, sugar cookies, krumkake, and anything else you could imagine.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
Fantastic! They stay soft as claimed. I brought almost the full batch to work, and they were gone in less than 4 hours! I had to send the recipe out. I didn't change a thing from the recipe listed; baked them for 10 minutes at 350, and they were prefect. I will absolutely make these again!

Tomato-Curry Lentil Stew
Nice stew-y meal, hearty and spicy. I follows others' suit and added some other veggies - I used a frozen mix of stew vegetables (potatoes, celery, carrots) and added them in the last 15 minutes with the curry powder. Delish!

Beer Dip I
I enjoyed the dip, but it was more cheese than beer. I used a Newcastle brown ale, and I think next time I'll use something with more kick (a pale perhaps). I took others' suggestions and melted the cheeses to make it creamier - I'm not sure I'd like it the other way.
