Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
I used thin pork chops and added a big pack of mixed veggies from the produce isle (Brussels, carrots, potatoes) and cooked on low for 8 hrs. The pork basically shredded since they were thin but the flavor was SO delicious. I would absolutely do this again, probably try thicker chops like it recommends. Delicious!!

Chicken Artichoke Bacon Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
Oh boy did this recipe make a lot of people happy!! I chopped up chicken, bacon and artichokes and added to sauce for a chunkier dip. Very thick...definitely needed solid crackers that wouldn't break. Bagel chips were perfect, tostitos would be great too!! Definitely will make many more times

Nutty Coconut Fish

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
Very yummy! I did make one change, instead of mayo/ mustard I just dipped the fish in one egg before coating. I will use more coconut next time because I really like coconut and I didn't find it very coconut-ty. The nutty flavor was good though.

Tomato Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
This was delicious! I omitted the onions, only because a family member doesnt like them. I was afraid kids wouldnt like the texture of diced tomatoes but I was pleasantly surprised at how soft the tomatoes were after simmering. I didnt change anything else and everyone at Thanksgiving loved it! I will definitely make again and add onions next time.

Spicy Mango Sweet Potato Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
Awesome! We definitely felt the burn on this one, which my husband and I both LOVE. I used a different soy sauce but everything else was exact and it came out delicious. If you want a thick sauce, I suggest removing all the chicken, potatoes and mangoes, add the cornstarch to thicken then add ingredients back in. Poured over spaghetti. Cant wait to make it again!

Used regular bacon but everything else was exact. Delicious and very quick and easy! Dipped soda bread in it, too!

Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
I used boneless pieces of lamb. I didnt have honey but used molasses instead. Still very yummy! I did over cook it bit. Being boneless pieces it probably only needed about 45 minutes total. Will make again! Thanks!

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
Wow! Good thing I read the reviews because this combination of seasonings seemed so odd to me. This was amazing! I used a 4.5lb chicken, doubled the spices and rubbed it under the skin. After the first 20 minutes, the skin was almost burnt so I did cover it with foil for the rest of the cooking time. I cooked it for 20 min, 20, min, then 40 minutes. Delicious!

Home-Style Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
Wow, this was so good! Much better than I had expected. I did add some salt free garlic powder just because I love garlic, but it tasted great without. Great consistency and very hearty! Thank you!

Orange Rosemary Chicken

Very easy and yummy! I let it marinade for 2 days. I also used light OJ and it was still very sweet. Also I used dried rosemary. Will definitely make again.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
Unfortunately I used fresh pumpkin and they were much too thick. I had to double the spices for added flavor since fresh pumpkin is pretty bland. Also, I had to add water to thin it out a little. So I will try them again with canned pumpkin and hopefully have a better outcome.

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

This was so easy and delicious for vanilla cupcakes! I did not have evaporated milk so I used whole milk. I did add an additional tablespoon for a total of 6 T of milk. Very easy and yummy! Thanks!

Baked Chicken with Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
I actually only made the mushroom gravy to add to my meatloaf and it was really good! It was a perfect consistancy and delicious on a basic meatloaf. Thanks!

Spinach and Mushroom Frittata

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
This was fabulous! I did saute the onions and mushrooms first. I used low fat ricotta. I also added 10 links of cooked turkey sausage because I love meat in everything. It added a great spice! The cooking and cooling times were perfect. This was very easy and delicious. Will definitely make again very soon! Thanks for the recipe!

Zucchini Parmigiana

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
I followed the recipe but cut it in half for just two of us. And there is still plenty left! I did cut down on fat and calories by using low fat mozzarella cheese and fat free ricotta cheese which I dont usually do but with so many other ingredients, it tasted great! The only thing I will do different next time (and there will be a next time) is to add an additional layer of sauce. Very yummy overall!
