Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Perfection

I made this last night and was really excited. The stuffing tasted great before put it in the ckicken, but the final dish I did not like. I thought that every ingredient worked well together, but the Italian dressing. I will probably not make this again, but if I did I would leave out the marinade. It had enough flavor without that.

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

This was a good starter for me. I diced and browned four pieces of bacon then sauteed onion. I also shredded a rotis. chicken and added for a heartier meal, added shredded cheese instead of the processed cheese and a can of creamed corn. I also put a little smoked paprika for a little smokey flavor.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Amazing! My uncle always makes the stuffing for Thanksgiving, but he feel ill and was not up to cooking. I took over cooking and make this recipe in the crockpot. I just followed the recipe and followed instructions for slow cooker stuffing (from this site). It turned out great! FRESH HERBS! My uncle made something similar but I don't think he make it with fresh herbs. I found a poultry package at Walmart during the holidays which worked out perfectly. I did not put liver in it or stuff the bird with it since I kinda think that creeps me out a little. I also used craisens instead of fresh cranberries. Remember to check on it if you use the slow cooker since it can dry out. Just add some broth and get it to the consistency you like. Its not really a big deal as long as you peek on it every couple of hours or so.

Chicken Fusilli with Spinach and Asiago Cheese

I thought that this was great, but I did adjust a few things from other reviewers. I sauteed my chicken in Flavor Boost from Swanson (I also use Knorr brand). When chicken is almost finished I added some onion and the extra garlic than what was called for. I sauteed for a few minutes then added the rest of the ingredients. I added jarred pesto to the mix since there were several reviewers that said it was bland. I added a little more cooking liquid to get the sauce to the consistency I liked. Note to cooks: you can taste the sauce before you are finished and add extra ingredients to your liking. The creator of the recipe might not like over powering flavors. Be creative and every recipe will end up being a "keeper". Thank you Campbell's Kitchen

Crispy Oven-Roasted Rosemary Chicken with Sausage and Potatoes

This is a great recipe, but has way too much fat. This can easily be reduced by using cooking spray in a non stick frying pan and cutting out the oil all together. Also, I used a turkey sausage with flavors such as italian, peppers, or cheese. I used boneless skinless turkey thighs and cut out as much fat as I could. Great dish after the fat reduction.

Pretzel Turtles®

I made this for my office mates and they loved it. One of them made it the next night to bring to a party. I have emailed and printed this recipe several times since I made them,! I used square pretzels with a rolo on top. I also added the pecan before I baked it. I melted bakers white choc. in microwave for 30 sec. incriments. I added a touch of oil to make sure it didnt clump before i sprinkled on top. Once i pushed down on the pecan, I drizzled the white choc. on top using a spoon in a side to side motion making the presentation perfect. I made some without the pecans just in case, but I will put them on all next time. Everyone was picking for the ones with the nuts. Great recipe!

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts II

This is always a hit at the parties! I have made it several times and it is the first dish to go! I have to say that there is a lot of sauce so I don't put all of it on. I also increase the cooking time on the bacon so that it gets crispier! Love this!

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts III

This is a great recipe! The only thing I would change next time is limit the amount of sauce I put on them. The recipe makes a ton of sauce, so i cut it in half, put it on, and bake it. Can get very messy otherwise. This is a football party favorite, even with the picky eaters!

Grilled Salmon I

I had guests over for venison back strap and one of the girlfriends did not eat meat so i prepared this salmon on the grill along with the venison. The entire dinner party loved both! I am making this again tonight for dinner for my boyfriend since it went so fast at the party.

Spanish Rice II

This turned out okay for me. I doubled the recipe and had some touble with the amount of liquid. The rice was firm still so I had to add more liquid. It ended up being a little mushy. I think I may have stirred too much and released the steam when i took the top off. I took the advice of reviewers and the rice had some nice colors to it. I probably will not make this again although it is my fault that it did not turn out well.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

This was just okay for me. It was difficult to get the topping on the fish since it was hot coming out of the oven. I would make it again, but I need to figure out what was missing from the recipe that made it just okay. I have used this topping on slices of tomatos from the garden. I just spread a dollop on a thick slice of tom and bake until browned. I enjoyed it that way more!
