Tender Potato Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
great recipe. I followed the advice of other raters and didn't add the water but I upped the milk to 1/2 C. I added chives and about 3/4 cup shredded cheese and for kicks I added 2 tbsp of sourcream and onion chip dip on a whim and they came out amazing! Great way to use up left over mash. potatoes AND even more they are awesome themselves warmed up as leftovers for breakfast with eggs and ham the next morning!!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
I was nervous to try this recipe because of the pudding but I am glad I did! This recipe was awesome. I halved the recipe the first time because it's a LOT of cookies and it was great. The second batch I tried I used butterscotch pudding mix and used butterscotch chocolate chips for something different and they turned out awesome. Next I'm going to try chocolate pudding. Best cookie recipe I have come across.

Blueberry Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
I was running out of regular milk but had buttermilk I could spare so I used that instead but because it's thicker I added almost 1/3 cup more instead of the recommended 1/4 of regular milk. I didn't have pecans but had ground pecans so used that instead. Turned out awesome!!! I will definately make this again and I'd even use the buttermilk again instead of regular milk as well it was so good and moist.

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
I don't mean to be a kill-joy but I agree with the person who said baking them was a disaster... the batter came off all the fries and all I ended up with was a baking sheet that needed a lot of soaking. Maybe next time I'll put the fries on a rack or something and try it that way. There is no way I would hand dip and individually place fries into a fryer unless I was only eatting them myself... I have 5 people in my family and I'd be starving before I got to eat anything. Gotta be a better way...

Zulandt's Lentil Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
I was actually getting ready to make speghetti when I realized I had sprouted lentils I needed to use and found this recipe online. I had celery, green pepper, onion, mushrooms and even some roma tomatoes chopped up and frying in my ground beef already so I added it to the rest of the ingredients (rice, lentils that I boiled briefly already spices, cheese) I didn't use the bread crumbs either... I used lots of old cheddar cheese and I accidentally grabbed curry instead of my cumin and ended up adding them both which was very yummy. I think without the celery, mushrooms etc. this dish would of been to bland and plain on the visual palette. I'll make this again with all the stuff I added this time... very yummy.

Cheese and Broccoli Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
I had high hopes and watering tastebuds while making this soup but was really let down... it was REALLY bland and a previous reviewer was right when she said it doesn't make sense to add the flour paste after everything is encorporated... hard to get the lumps out. I ended up having to melt cheese wiz all over the top of the soup so that my family would eat it. Next time I think I will use a sharp/old cheddar instead of regular cheddar and... I dunno it needs SOMETHING to give it a better taste.
