About this Cook
I love baking and making home made soups and trying anything with vegetables; especially spinach.... I have cooked for many people and cooked for 3.5 years in the Caribbean for the company I worked for making meals each day for 56-65 people on our conferences each January in a stark little tiny kitchen (3x4)on a catamoran. I am now starting my own catering business; weddings, christenings, showers etc. Wish me luck everyone....

My favorite family cooking traditions
learning from the family (grandma, aunties, mom and great granny )

Caramel Apple Pie II
use cortland apples in this recipe and increase the flour by 2 tablespoons. Found it to be very runny the first time. Cortland apples are the perfect apple , they keep their shape well and not overly sweet. Found the granny smith very bitter /tart.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie
I lost many customers today from this pie recipe; the rhubarb does not cook enough and it is raw inside... I cooked it and prepared it according to the recipe. I have a pie business and was very disappointed by this as well as upset over my lost revenue. Hint; cook the filling first please! I lost alot of sleep last night due to this .
