Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
Very good cream cheese frosting, I used if for a carrot cake. It is very easy to cut in half too. It litterally takes minutes to make.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
These were ok, I give them 3 stars just for the crispyness and texture but they really lacked on flavor, I even tripled the sugar and vanilla. Still looking for a good waffle recipe.

Frank's Famous Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2011
I think this one is it, I followed the directions exept for the mushrooms because I was out. Also I added a little red wine and brown sugar. Wonderful homemade sauce, and all in one pan.

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
This was very good with a one addition, I added 4 more cups of water because it was so sweet. It never affected the tartness and it even made around a gallon. So simple to make and you know what is in it. Good!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
YUM! These cookies smelled like funnel cakes baking, the pudding does something special. The cookies were soft after baking and do not spread a lot. They do take longer to bake, about 11 minutes, but they turned out really nice. My two year old loved them!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
My Mom makes something like this for her shrimp and brocoli pasta. It is comfort food and while not traditional alfredo, we dont mind, its actually pretty delicious, nice and quick too.

Gramma's Apple Bread Pudding

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
I made this super quick and it was very good. The only thing i would complain about is that I didnt have the right size pan, but it didnt matter much. I loved the apples in it, my husband ate it with some ice cream. Its a nice way to use up bread before it goes.

S'more Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
Good idea for a special brownie, I have done this in the past with different toppings. If you can bake brownies no one should have a problem with this. I bake the brownie as package directions. After baking turn off the oven sprinkle on toppings and put back in to melt. I have used chocolate chips, mini marshmellows and peanuts for rocky road brownies, cant wait to find a occasion to try this version.

Peanut Butter Cream Parfaits

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
I would agree with others that this is too rich just to eat plain with chocolate. I would try using it as a topping for a brownie instead. Or it can be an icing by adding powdered sugar to the right consistancy. Either way i give 4 stars, to a good dessert topper/icing.

Easy Shake and Bake Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
Very good chicken, its moist and flavorful, I did add some a garlic and onion spices and a little parmasan. I kind of prefer this to a bunch of crust on the chicken, less messy too. I used half the butter called for and it was perfect. The butter gave it a nice flavor. This will be made again. good!

Banana Cake Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
I made these with my 2 year old in mind, always asking for a cookie. Here are the changes I made, I used half the butter and subd the other halft with applesauce, I used one cup oatmeal ground down to a flour, I used pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon, I only used one egg all I had, and added some spiced apples I made from the night before to use up and a little chopped chocolate. I did have to add some flour at the end to come to the right consistancy. Baked them for 9 minutes and they are delightful. They are cake like but we dont care. Perfect alternate way to use up bananas and plus a healthier cookie my girl loves..Thanks!

Soft Giant Pretzels

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
This was my first attempt at soft pretzels and I love how easy and fast this was. The first batch out of the oven I couldn't get the salt to stick, the second I got it be I prefer the saltless. I cant wait to try them with cinnamon sugar and other dips, we had sharp cheddar spread. Awesome football snack and makes quite a few, two cookie trays worth. I made them in our kitchenaid mixer with ease..thanks for the new snack!

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
I was looking for chicken Enchilada ingredients like the ones I enjoyed in college years ago. This one was it. I went so far as to make my own salsa and tortillas and boiled chicken. They turned out especially good, its not every day you have a completely homemade Mexican dinner, so thank you for the recipe. I should note that these are not authentic but I love them anyway. Make these and have salsa and sour cream ready, super!

Authentic Mexican Tortillas

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
I have made flour torillas before but I had never used shortening. These turned out pretty good but not great. I had problems with them breaking when made into enchilladas even though they were wrapped in towels and hot. These seemed a little too much like pie crust but they did have a nice homemade flavor and butter flavor from the shortening. Over all we enjoyed them but next time I will try something else.

Colorful and Edible Play Dough

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
I made a full batch of this play dough but I didnt have kool aid packets so I made it without then kneaded in food coloring until the shade was right. I split the ball of dough and made one blue and the other purple. I too kneaded in some extra flour until the consistancy was that of regular play dough. I pulled off a piece in order to tell. My 2 year old is just starting to explore play dough and this is a really nice recipe to do it with.

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
These were easily the best sugar cookies I have tried, and they were very simple. I didnt have butter but I had I cant believe INB. I was worried at first because the dough was crumbly but it did press into balls and make a beautiful cookie. I would compare these to a pilbsury or the cookies found in the mall. Something makes these different in a good way than other sugar cookies, very good A+

Banana Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
I liked the simplicity of this dessert but I did a few things different. I used cinnamon applesauce instead of oil, I used vanilla pudding instead of banana, I had a lot of bananas to use so I used 5 almost a full bunch, and I omitted the icing listed and used the pudding/coolwhip topping. The cake all by itself was just ok for me, it was very moist from the pudding and all the bananas. my husband asked if it was cooked enough, and yes it was hence a pudding cake. But what really made this cake for me was the pudding/coolwhip icing. I would definitely make it again because I was able to use alot of bananas and it was really tasty with the pudding icing. Thanks!

Cinnamon Syrup

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
This syrup was just ok for us, i even added a tbl. of butter. While it has a nice cinnamon flavor, it would serve better as a glaze for a coffee cake than a syrup for pancakes. It tasted exactly like the syrup that is at the bottom of baked apples. I would like to try it again with maple extract, to see if that would make it a syrup for us.

Oatmeal Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2010
This was a good moist spice cake, I would consider using this as a carrot cake base, but I would either cut in half or take out the spices next time for a regular oatmeal cake like my Mom has made
