Slow Cooker Oats
I made this last night for breakfast this morning. As I sit here eating this, I think it's a good recipe, but I made a change which I regret. I followed the recipe exactly as far as proportions, but instead of water I added half water, half almond milk. I dislike the taste of almond milk, and I hate wasting food, so I was trying to find a use for the almond milk. Another reviewer used almond milk, so I tried it. I can still taste the almond milk. I was hoping the apple, raisins, and cinnamon would mask it. They did, but not enough. I will make this again, but I will use only water. I still gave the recipe five stars because of the ease of the preparation, the texture when finished, and if I subtract the taste of the almond milk, I like it. Steel cut oats are a pain to make on the stove top, so slow cooking them with fresh ingredients is fantastic! The house smelled wonderful as the oats cooked, and like I said, I will make this again (and again).

Bread Pudding II
This is one of the easiest bread pudding recipes I've ever seen, so I gave it a try. I'm glad I did! Soooooo delicious, and so easy! I added more cinnamon and vanilla (because I love cinnamon and vanilla), but other than that I made it as written. I tried it fresh from the oven and chilled, but I like warm better, so I just warm up leftovers in the microwave. I think I'll use this bread pudding recipe from now on.

Slow Cooker Garlic Mashed Potatoes
This sounded yummy, so I gave it a try. I added more garlic than suggested in the recipe (2 tsp. minced garlic instead of powder). I might add sour cream next time too, as other reviewers have done, but I can recommend this recipe with confidence! I used Russet potatoes, since I had plenty of those (peeled) and minced garlic as stated earlier, but otherwise I followed the recipe as written. I liked the outcome and will make these again. Thanks for the recipe!
