Taco Seasoning III

Reduced the chili powder to 2/3 cup and only used 1/4 cup mix for 1 lb hamburger, and it was still too spicy for the kids.

I started out to make this exactly as written, but I was out of Cream of Chicken soup so I had to sub Cream of Mushroom, low fat. I also was a little short on the tater tots, but in the end I think that was a good thing. The meat kinda browns at this high temp, and the flavor is good. The tater tots kinda get mushy, but the taste is good. I admit that I used a turkey baster to suck out all the grease on the edges. I will make again for a quick supper. Thanks

Super Moist Pork Chops

It was fast and easy and only required a few ingredients, however, the pork chops needed additional seasoning, were not all that moist and were not tender. Will use this recipe again in the future if needed in a pinch.

Ice Cream Sticky Buns

Very quick and easy!! I cut down the white sugar a little, and used a 1 lb package of frozen dinner roll dough. I thawed a little and cut each roll into 1/4. Perfect for the kids to help themselves. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

PErfect for my lifestyle - very quick with little prep time needed. I put it in a small Jelly roll pan and it was a thicker crust. I added a little parm to the dough and it was good too. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Wagon Train Pasta

Great recipe, even my picky 15 month old ate it. I used the new mini pasta wheels, and doubled the meat. Be careful while browning the meat as it will stick to the bottom of the pan and burn if you do not keep a close eye on it. Will become a regular in my house. Thanks for sharing.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

These were good, but a little more on the doughy side, but that could be my fault. I made these in the bread maker, then rolled them into balls and made cloverleaf rolls. I put them outside in the sun to rise. They were kinda a heavy yeast roll. I served them with honey butter. Needless to say everyone filled up on rolls, so I have plenty of left overs!! Thanks for the recipe.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Sauce was good, definately needed to add 1/2 tsp sugar, and was better after I let it set awhile. Cut back on the spices and added a bit of garlic powder. Made enough for two homemade pizza crusts.

The Best Pizza Crust

This crust was just about perfect. I made it in my bread machine, and the texture was perfect. However, I spread a little EVOO and garlic salt on the crust before I baked it which really added to the flavor. I would give it a 5 for texture, and a 4 for flavor. Thanks for sharing!!

Orange Sherbet II

Tastes more like creamsicle than orange sherbet. I put all ingredients in my ice cream freezer, and it came out like thick soft serve. Not a lot of orange flavor, doesn't taste like the store bought stuff at all.

Banana Streusel Muffins

Great recipe, left out the cinnamon as we are not big fans, but still were great. I doubled the recipe as I had 4 bananas tht needed to be used, and therefore ran a little short on the sour cream (I used light) so I just added a little more milk, and they still turned out. Will make again. Thanks so much. A doubled recipe yielded 28 muffins.

Candy Ice Cream

I have used this site for years but never reviewed a recipe, until now!! This is great ice cream. I was a bit nervous as I only had fat free cool whip in the house and it usually makes my recipes flop, but not this one!! I don't know why I would try regular cool whip as it took some of the guilt out of this recipe. I also used 1% milk and only a half cup of sugar but may even reduce that to 1/4 cup next time. Added Oreos and it was perfect!! I love the fact that there is no eggs in this recipe as I have small children so taking the time to cook the ice cream is out of the question, and feeding the kids raw eggs makes me nervous. Thanks again for a GREAT recipe!!
