I have no specific way of eating, I have come to that conclusion.  I go through phases of cooking and eating.  I've been through a canning phase, a Greek food phase, a vegan phase, a slow cooker phase, a sauce phase, a make your own dressing phase.  I can't just focus on one aspect of food,… MORE

I change my mind alot, like how I said I was going to be vegetarian.  Um, I fail.  I forgot how much I like meatballs and chicken corn chowder. I missed them, I missed alot of things, I don't want to miss food...I want too improve my food.  So, even though we are likely not become a… MORE

So, last week I even warned myself not to go "cold turkey" and have a vegetarian diet only. Well, of course, I went and did it anyway.   The family meals have been vegetarian all week long. The kids don't really eat meat at breakfast or lunch to begin with, so that wasn't hard- dinner would… MORE

Well, this is funny.   I was a vegetarian from age 16 through age 19. I have always played with the idea of going back to it.  I was practically vegan (the kind that eat nothing to do with animals at all like dairy, eggs and even honey).  I knew all about it and had collections of recipes… MORE

I didn't have alot of ingredients around the house, and I was in a hurry. I decided to make Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef.  I haven't figured out links yet, but I will eventually.  Anyway, to my surprise, my picky 3 year old loved it! I served it over toast with some peas...she didn't eat the… MORE

Be Warned!   I'm Trying to Understand Something!I had my own blog, but it was elsewhere, I never manage it and I constantly change my mind what the blog is about- well, it's always about food- but I never know what.  I started it because I thought it would encourage me to cook better or… MORE

About Me
I'm a married,stay-at-home mom of 3! I like collecting and cooking recipes...obviously.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken anything, slow cooker recipes and anything quick/easy and healthy that will please the husband and the kids!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the Fall season when we go get pumpkins, squash and apples and make a bunch of great stuff out of them! I am still starting my own family traditions, it will be a fun journey!
My cooking triumphs
I've finally mastered NOT burning eggs and pancakes! I win! I win! I win!
My cooking tragedies
I can't make something without a recipe. If I do something my own way, it usually ends up awful. There was also an incident with red pepper flakes and a volcanic calzone pizza, just tried to make a pizza, and I ended up with an inedible spicy volcano eruption instead.
