Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
This is so good. Beef is nice and tender and has lots of flavor. I added broccoli in the last hour it was cooking. Also added garlic chile paste in the beginning. Served over wheat angel hair pasta with peanuts. Thanks a bunch!

Maple Bacon Pancake

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
I'll admit I was super wary about this recipe because it seems really strange to me, but this is really good! I didn't quite read (read: didn't read at all) through the recipe when I first found it, so I thought I was going to be making bacon pancakes. When I turned out one big one, I was a bit concerned. However, this is very, very good. I'm keeping this recipe. I made it as is, but I used mont jack cheese (had it on hand). Good stuff.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
Really tasty, tender, and easy. I served it with ramen and veggies. I used boneless chicken (less than asked for as well), cut into strips. I baked it in a foil-lined pan and also covered it with foil for the first half hour. I also subbed brown sugar in for the white. Give this one a try. I'm definitely saving it.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
This is so good. I added a little extra sugar, but I think maybe I shouldn't have. I put this on plain cheesecake, and it was wonderful. Thanks so much.

Meat-Lover's Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
I dunno, I made the recipe as directed, but it just wasn't a good recipe for me. The sauce was rather watery and didn't have an appealing taste. I'm keeping my family's spaghetti and meatballs recipe.

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
I didn't eat it cause I dislike shrimp, but my boyfriend loved it. He said it was just spicy enough and very tasty. I made it as directed, but left out mushrooms. Ick. I also served it with rotini, and a couple ounces less than recommended so everything was nice and creamy. It looked great. Thanks!

Andouille and Chicken Creole Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2010
It was alright. Rather spicy, but didn't have too much flavor. My sauce was thick enough; there wasn't any trouble there. However, I'm not crazy about Creole food. If you're fond of this kind of food, I really think you'll like it. Follow the recipe as is, but you might cut down on the creole seasoning if you're using extra spicy sausage.

Cinnamon Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
I am rather unsure of these cookies. I've never had a cinnamon cookie like this before. I ate several of them, but I don't know if I'd make the recipe again. I froze part of the dough, so maybe the next batch will be better since the batter will be nice and firm. I wish that I chilled my dough before baking these the first time because they baked very thin. We'll see. =)

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
So easy, I used it as a marinara dipping sauce, but I know it would be great on pizzas. It makes just the right amount. I rarely need marinara, so I think I'll be using this recipe in the future instead of buying a big jar that will get wasted.

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
Eh, not impressed. The dough was nice, but the filling needs work. I wouldn't make it again. I didn't care for the cheddar.

Slow Cooker Green Beans, Ham and Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
I made these tonight, but I had to leave out the pork. I kept looking for the ham hocks, but was unable to find them in a store. I know it would be way better with the ham, so that's why I gave it a 4. As it was, it was rather bland.

'Day Before Payday' Kielbasa and Corn Hash

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2010
It wasn't a bad recipe, but it seemed so mushy. I cooked it the proper amount of time and everything, but with all the food that's in the pan (and I used my largest pan) it came out quite soft, especially because of the frozen peppers. It was also rather spicy. I was worried that there wouldn't be any kick to it, but I was wrong. I don't think I'd make it again, but it was enjoyable.

Cinnamon Bread Delight

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
So yummy. I think I underbaked mine a little, and it was super crumbly. Still tasted amazing. I'm going to make it again, most certainly, and I'll make sure that I bake it properly. I served it with corn on the cob and maple meatballs. Thanks!

Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
So, so yummy! I loved it. It reminded me of a wonderful dip my aunt would make. I used a whole can of black beans and a whole packet of taco seasoning. I also left out the chicken. Um, however I did try cooking it on high for an hour or too, but it began to burn so I switched back down to low and still had to stir it often. Make sure to use plenty of jalapenos. =)

Oven Roasted Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Didn't care for this one. I followed the recipe exactly. It seemed very bland and dry. If I had to make it again I would substitute the walnuts for pecans.

Parmesan Broccoli Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I served these for my boyfriend and myself. I quite liked them, but he didn't. Perhaps if I were to serve them at a party and see others rave about them like other reviewers did, I would like them more. I think I'll keep the recipe for a while and test it on other people. I'll add more Parmesan next time, as recommended.

Stuffed Artichoke Hearts

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Really good recipe. I didn't have chives, so I mixed in onion powder and a little parsley. A little too buttery, I might skip that part next time. I've been eating a bit healthier lately, so the butter really seemed overwhelming. It's a keeper though. I'd like to try it with the chives next time.

Phenomenal Chicken and Pasta in Creamy Pesto Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
My first homemade pesto. So easy, I don't know why I haven't done it before. This was quite a tasty pasta, but a bit too oily. I'm going to cut back next time. I served it with spaghetti instead of penne, and I'm glad. I strongly prefer noodles. I also replaced the pine nuts with walnuts since I have a bunch and love, love walnuts. So good! Thank you. And yeah, it makes a bunch. It's just my boyfriend and me, so we'll be eating this for dinner for a few days. =)

Love the Mama Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
Made these last week and they were eaten up pretty quickly. These are only the second lemon bars I've had in my life and I'm not super fond of lemon, so take my rating lightly. =3 I did like them though, but I would prefer a gooier topping.

Coffee Bonbons

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
Not bad. I baked these for some guests and they really loved them. I put sprinkles on mine and they looked so cute! I, however, did not care too much for them. They were a bit dry for me. I like really moist cookies. =3 However, everyone else loved them. Thanks!
