Lemon Yogurt Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
This was a really good recipe, but next time I will change the topping to a little lemon juice, zest, and honey. The honey really gives it a lot more flavor and goes very well with the lemon.

My family LOVED this recipe. I did use chicken stock instead of water and bullion, though.

Aw-some Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
I am picky about cole slaw, but this one won me over. I made it for a spring picnic and found that it was a hit. Just a note: I subbed cider vinegar for white vinegar. It gave it just a little more flavor and aroma.

My family and I LOVE this recipe. I have made it with both white flour and whole wheat flour. It is so versatile and always works out so well.

Fresh Asparagus Soup

This soup reminds me of something that you would get from a nice bistro with a light salad and roll. It was just so darn good! Yum, yum!

Impressive and worth the effort. I used very high-quality chocolate and I think that it made it so good. I suggest not cheaping out in the chocolate chips.

German Chocolate Cake Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
I am glad that I took the time to make this rather than opt for store bought filling. NOTE: It takes a long time to thicken. I can see how someone may not be patient enought to let it cook and give up, resulting in runny icing. Just keep stirring and it will happen.

Storybook Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
Easy and delicious! I made the dough for my kindergarteners to cut-out, bake, and decorate. I was afraid that they might not hold up after all that, but they were great! One mom even asked for the recipe the next day after having a nibble of her child's cookie. I will use this recipe every year.

Soft Giant Pretzels

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I made these pretzels for movie night for my 10 year old and her friends last summer. Since then, I've had to make them for these kids (and parents) six more times. They are better than the ones in the mall. Twice, I have made pretzel bites instead of traditional shaped pretzels with pretty good results.

No, these are not really cookies. They are really muffin tops. However, they are delicious! My family ate them all in one evening. I am certainly going to make these again.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
I do not usually like banana bread / muffins. I only tried this recipe because my husband asked me to make some banana muffins. This turned out to be THE BEST banana muffins/bread that I have ever had. For the first time in my life I actually crave banana muffins. I added some chopped walnuts to the crumb topping upon request and found it to be a great addition. Try this recipe!
