Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
This was good. I made a mistake and put a 8 oz bottle of french dressing, so I doubled the cranberry sauce. Seasoned the pork tenderloin before putting it in the crock pot. Have to believe it is even better if I had put in the right amount of dressing. Nevertheless it is still good.

5 stars is not enough for these cookies. I have made these several times. I keep all the ingredients on hand now so I can make them whenever I want them or when my son makes a request to have me send him a care package. The ship wonderfully and stay fresh in a ziploc bag. Thanks for the best cookie recipe.

Spiced Slow Cooker Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
This was super easy and really easy. I made it a week ago according to the directions, a bit sweet, making it again tonight reducing the sugar to 1/2 cup and upping the pumpkin pie spice to 1 teaspoon. This is wonderful mixed with granola

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
Wow, this is super good. I did follow the suggestion of one reviewer and made my taco seasoning, here is what I did. 1 tablespoon chili powder 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon onion powder 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon sea salt 1 teaspoon black pepper. I added cheese but did not do the tortilla chips, who needs to mess with perfection.

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Very good, I love any salad with nuts and fruit. I use blue cheese in place of the roquefort and also added almonds along with the pecans.

Shrimpcargot

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This was the best, delicious a new appetizer for my house. I sprinkled a little bread crumbs just underneath the cheese and added a little white wine in the bottom of the pan. Mixed mozzarella with a four cheese blend. Thanks for the great easy recipe.

Apple Goat Cheese Bruschetta

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
Outstanding, my BF ask how could someone rate this as not good tasting. Cheese and apples, how can you go wrong. The herbs just put it over the top. Thanks for a great recipe.

Microwave Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This was really good. Came out great, I used fresh squeezed lemons, next time I may do have lemons and half bottle lemon juice and I will leave out the lemon zest as I don't like them generally, but wanted to make the recipe according to the direction.

Lemon Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
I only make the cake part to this recipe and it was wonderful, nice and light. Did not grease the pan and had no problem getting it out. I make the microwave lemon curd and whipped cream cheese frosting from this site for the two middle layers, i put a layer of lemon curd and some of the frosting and then frosted the cake with the remaining frosting. It was great to pair the lemon with the sweet frosting. The only problem is the frosting was very creamy, but the flavor combination of it all was wonderful.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This was ok, I could taste the biscuits, they just didn't taste like dumplings. Maybe next time I will make my own dumplings, otherwise this was a good recipe.

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
This was really good, as per some other reviewers I may a few changes. I kept the vinegar and wine the same amount, I added crushed garlic and a little white and brown sugar, put it in a saucepan and let it form to a glaze. Use goat cheese on top of the filet and topped with the glaze. It was terrific.

Tasty and easy to make, I might alter this some next time to get a bit more spice. But if you grill extra the taste will go with so many other recipes.

Apple and BBQ Sauce Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
These were really tasty and easy. I added different seasoning to the ribs, also after marinating them overnight, I cooked them in the oven at 295 for about 2 hours and put them on the grill for about 15 minutes. I did find they needed a little BBQ sauce on them when the came off, but this is my new way to make ribs, nice and tender.

Mad Hatter Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
I loved this, my BF on the other hand was not impressed, but this is coming from someone who doesn't like veggies, I on the other hand don't like coleslaw, this will now become my coleslaw of choice and will be made again, love the nuts and crunch. Thanks for the recipe.
