Pancit

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I found this recipe to be a little bland. I also marinated the chicken and pork in soy sauce for 30 mins. I added fresh garlic and onion and also used coleslaw mix and snow peas. After I soaked the rice noodles in water and drained them, I added chicken broth to the pan and sauteed the noodles in the broth. They quickly soaked up the broth and gave them a nice flavor.

Bumbleberry Pie II

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
This pie is mmmmmm good! I decided to add some blackberries as well. I suggest that you use a cooking apple such as macintosh as the others are a bit hard and needed to cook longer. Also because of it being a bit running when not completely cooled...try another teas. of tapioca to thicken it up. Otherwise...it's fantastic!

Best Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
This recipe has been in my family for years. My mom received it from a lady friend of hers who received it from her mother. It's the most delicious tasting frosting. But you must beat it on high for 4 to 5 mins. I sometimes add drained crushed pineapple to this frosting to add a little different taste to it. It's great!!!!

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
This recipe was a big hit with my family. My son asked me to make it and I have never made it before until today. I read the reviews and I also cut the recipe in half. I also omitted the salt & tomatoes and cut down on the butter a bit. I also added frozen peas in place of the tomatoes. It was very rich and creamy and I have to admit has a great flavor! Will definitely make again!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
These were very good as they are. I did however, roll the bacon in the brown sugar after it was wrapped around the smokie and I sprinkled more ontop as they baked. I also baked them on a Pam sprayed rack so that they bacon would crisp up better and the grease would fall on the foil lined cookie sheet for easier clean up. I then put them in a crockpot with Open Pit BBQ sauce and a small can of drained crushed pineapple and a little more brown sugar. They were a big hit!

These were delicious! I used real mashed potatoes (with no butter or milk)instead of the flakes. They were not a bit dry. Will definitely make time and time again.

I have used canned sliced peaches when fresh peaches are not in season...rinse them well under cold water and strain. They are just as good as fresh and my family loves it!!!
