About this Cook
I am an American Soldier who loves to cook where ever Uncle Sam sends me and I have been on almost every continent doing just that. I enjoy being surrounded by family and friends and I also believe that nothing brings people together like a delicious meal.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy Southern Style BBQ, it's fun to prepare and makes them smile every time!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking for the Holidays. Allowing the children to help decorate the pastries, well they decorate the ones that will be eaten before the others and never make it to the platters being served for the festivities. SHHHH, don't tell them!
My cooking triumphs
My family reunion last year, I prepared a five course Italian cuisine for about twenty relatives. I know that they are family and going to applaud you even for just trying, but when there are no leftovers and a bunch of people expanding thier belts one or two notches you know that you've done it and done it well!
My cooking tragedies
Halibut, deep fried halibut. Living in Alaska for three years allowed me to add more pages to my lifes recipe book, however, I promise this one isn't in it! Shallow pan, Hot Grease, and Chunks of Battered Halibut and I had to be an idiot and place a lid on the pan...did I mention that I walked away for about three minutes? LOL

Foolproof Rib Roast
Outstanding recipe, I will be using this one again. It was easy to prepare and was just as advertised, foolproof. I did coat the roast with olive oil prior to adding the rub. I also added a teaspoon of rosemary to my rub. The whole family raved about the roast, as it was the hit of the dinner. Thanks for the recipe!

AWESOME! Wow, we loved these wings and so did everyone at the party. I am going to make them again, only this time I am not going to share!

Southern Peach Cobbler
Num, Num, Num...this was a wonderful piece of heaven. I enjoyed it but thought that it was missing something; I can't figure out what exactly it is missing. I am going to give it another try, only I'll add a few things to figure out the missing ingredient.
