I like quick and easy stuff to make during the week, but on the weekends, I like to take the extra time to make something really special.
My favorite things to cook
I love crockpot cooking during the workweek. On the weekend, it could be anything that sounds good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Now that I have kids, I love preparing things and having them help me....they always seem to eat more that way! Of course, there are all the favorites that make the holidays special.
My cooking triumphs
the first time I made tamales all by myself, from scratch! I had never made them before, or seen them made, but I just wanted to give it a whirl!
My cooking tragedies
There have been a few hits or misses, but no horrible inedible meal or ruined holiday dinner (yet!)

Pizza Dough III
Like many other reviews have noted, i needed about an extra 1/3 to 1/2 cup flour. I did use bread flour and had good results. I would use this recipe again, made a nice, tender crust, not too thick or thin.

Tangy (Not Sweet) Tartar Sauce
I mostly followed this, but used dill relish (lazy!) and a touch of regular relish. Added the dill juice plus lots of pepper and some seasoning salt. I was trying really hard not to eat it as chip dip! Very, very good!

Fuzzy Navel Slush
I only used a half cup of sugar and it was very sweet. Next time will skip it. Also, I used a full 750 ml bottle of peach schnapps and found the drinks were not very strong. That's 3 cups of alcohol! We wound up drizzling a little vodka on top. I like the method and will tweak my proportions next time.
