Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
This soup has phenomenal Flavor!!! I really followed the recipe, I just didn't have hominy on hand so I added the whole can of corn. Also, I used some frozen already cooked and sliced chicken breast chunks as a time saver. Next time I cook a whole chicken this will definitely be a go to recipe for a fabulous way to use chicken leftovers!!!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
My WHOLE family RAVED about this chicken...home run!!! (Getting 3 kids to agree is a challenge!) We cooked a 5 lb. organic chicken and I checked it after the 75 min. as the recipe suggested (for the 3lb. chicken) and it was ready...after waiting the 30 min. we found out it was cooked to perfection! This will be one of our GO TO recipes that we keep guarded in our family recipe book! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

Pear and Almond French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
Loved this because I could make it ahead for a more enjoyable time at brunch with friends! My modifications based on what I had on hand...made with French bread from Costco, used 1 1/2 tsp of vanilla (was out of almond extract), used fresh sliced bosc pears, peeled and it tasted amazing!!! I had 6 people for brunch and this dish serves 20...well we all had 2nds or 3rds! ;)

Seven Layer Salad

Fabulous!!! I brought it to a party and everyone raved! I added a layer of fresh diced red pepper to give some festive color and I also added some milk to thin the dressing. This is a winner!

Dirt Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2003
This was incredibly easy to make and since I was bringing this dish to a Halloween Party I made a few changes. I layered the ingredients in a 9x13" pan and then I melted some chocolate chips and put the melted chocolate in a ziploc bag...cut the tip and used it to write RIP on some Pepperidge farm Milano cookies. Stick them in a scattered fashion throughout the pan to make a graveyard! The dessert was delicious and quite a conversation piece! (Just make sure you have someone dig into it so everyone else will follow...noone wanted to be the first to dig in because it looked too good to eat! :)

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2003
This is the best recipe for apple crisp!!! I made it for a family gathering and everyone said it was FABULOUS! A wonderful dessert for a cold fall/winter evening! It was a bit sweet for me so next time I will reduce the amount of sugar. Scrumptious!
