I haven't made this exact recipe but I have made one that is similar. I think a common problem people are having with the cake falling apart could be solved by using a springform pan, and maybe treating this a little more like a cheesecake and cooking it in a 1" water bath. Also, after the oranges are cool enough to handle, you should dissect them and remove as much of the seeds, strings and white pith that you can. That may help alleviate some of the bitterness.

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

This is the first Tres Leches Cake I have made and so far it looks FABULOUS! I did separate my eggs and beat the whites... but when I went to add them to the "flour mixture" as suggested, they had separated into foam and whites, so it was rather gooey, but the cake batter turned into a cake! I cut the top off to make it flat and have been dipping the pieces into the milk mixture, and that's tasty, so I can only imagine what this is going to taste like in the morning!!! Yay!!!

Pumpkin Cheesecake Pie

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving this year and I was impressed! I haven't got any experience with pies or cheesecake and this was delightful to make and eat. The nuts in the crust really add a unique flavor and texture. Needless to say, I will be making this again!
