About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook lamb! I also love to bake. I'll bake anything, even if I don't like it, just to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I can't spell it. It's a Portugese dish. Pork chops marinated in a vinegar dressing for 2 days. We have it every Christmas morning.
My cooking triumphs
Christmas of 2005 I made a cornish hen recipe I found on this website. It was divine! Everyone loved it! I made a lamb roast. No recipe. Just did what I thought would taste good. It was amazing.
My cooking tragedies
I once started a fire in my kitchen when I began making popcorn, then walked away and forgot what I was doing. In my defense I was very sick, and I put out the fire before it caused any damage.

Oven-Roasted Asparagus
This is my favorite asparagus recipe. If you have the opportunity, try it with Macademia nut oil. It's fantastic.

Brown Sugar Smokies
Always a party hit! I've made this recipe for years. I like it, but it's crazy greasy and high in fat. The next time I make it I will try turkey lil smokies and turkey bacon. Wish me luck!

Robbi's M&M Cookies
Delicious! And I'm picky, I followed one person's advice and put the dough in the fridge for about 10 minutes before baking each batch. It was successful. They did not spread thin. Also, I used coconut oil as shortening. Coconut oil is wonderful for baking cookies.
