Jalapeno Poppers I

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2012
This recipe was ok but I think next time I'll just not batter the Jalapeno's because its far too messy and time consuming.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
These turned out wonderful! I gave them to all my neighbors and friends. Instead of 2 bags of just semi-sweet chocolate chips, I did one bag of butterscotch chips and 1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate, though in the future I advise using just half a bag of each. I also exchanged the plain vanilla pudding for cheesecake pudding. And for those of you wondering, no you do not have to make the pudding first, you just add the dry mixture.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
I must say these are the best sugar cookies we have ever had! I followed one of the other reviewers comments and took them out at 8 minutes. Even though they looked like they could bake longer, letting them set on the baking sheet for 2 minutes made them set up nicely. Trying them again this morning after they sat out overnight reaffirmed that these cookies are 5 stars for soft chewey center!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
I would make the balls of dough at least 1 inch in diameter, any smaller and when putting in the peanut butter cup, the top will stick out, so make sure you're using enough dough. *side note: I also put the peanut butter cups in the freezer for 2 hours before using them, and took off the wrapping a half hour prior to putting them in the cookies. Wonderful recipe!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2008
Really great recipe, but needed to add more bbq sauce than what was called for. In fact about another half bottle which made this dish perfect!

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
I added two cloves of minced garlic and 2 tablespoons of sour cream. This recipe really felt like I was eating out at an authentic Italian restaurant. I will never buy pre-made alfedo sauce again!

Basic Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
I would give this recipe a 5 based on taste, however, if you don't have some sort of hand pasta maker it can be a very long and tedious process cutting the dough into all those little strips. Never having made pasta by hand I was scared to boil the pasta because I thought it would just fall apart (as it does seem very fragile as you let it dry) but as soon as I slipped my pasta into boiling water it really strengthened it! Also, if you want your pasta to taste really authentic I suggest making the sauce by hand too. I found a very basic alfredo sauce on here and my meal felt like I was eating at olive garden!

Michael's Foccacia Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
Simply Fantastic! I followed the directions to a "T" except for adding 1 tablespoon rosemary, 1 teaspoon oregano, and 1 teaspoon thyme to the dough. I also let the dough rest for 20 minutes (giving it time to rise) before adding the topping and baking for a little less than 20 minutes at 415 degrees. Did not add any salt to the top though.

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
I gave this recipe 3 stars because the original was much too bland. After reading the reviews, I decided to start off doing this recipe by adding half a packet of Italian dressing mix. Unfortunately, I shouldn't have added any extra salt because the Italian seasoning. To fix the sauce's saltiness, I added sour cream until it tasted just right. I also added a little less than 2 tablespoons of "oh so garlic" which is a mix of spices you can find at your grocery store. Tip* Even if you're making only two chicken breasts, still use the same amount of creamed soups so that the chicken can be fully covered. Now, I don't like mushrooms but did use the cream of mushroom just for variety (I didn't taste mushrooms at all). I served this atop of fried rice (Which the sauce added wonderful flavor to). If you have left overs, grab some tortillas, shred the chicken, add some black beans, shredded cheese and you have burritos!

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
The blend of salsa, cream cheese and chicken was a brilliant idea. I used 4 12 inch tortillas though. I also found that there was a little too much cheese. Next time I would only use about a cup to cover them.

Chicken Flautas

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
My boyfriend and I had been getting this dish at our favorite Mexican restaurant but now that I can make them at home we are both thrilled, especially me because I'm not the greatest cook. They taste so yummy!
