Whipped Cream Icing I

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
This was luscious. I doubled it (except the gelatin; I left that the same) and used it to layer and top a yellow cake with sliced strawberries. The gelatin kept the cream from going weepy, and was stiff enough for a nice thick layer of strawberries and cream in the middle of my cake.

Vegan Chocolate Cake

I shared this recipe with a friend whose son has dairy and egg allergies, and he just loves having a real cake that he can eat. Thank you for posting this one.

Chicken a la King I

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2008
Mmmmm- just like my Nanna used to make. I served it over buttered rice, and it was the comfort food supreme.

Bee Sting Cake (Bienenstich) II

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2008
I tried this recipe, and I guess I was envisioning something different. I found it to be a little bland, and not worth all the effort. Thanks anyway.

Wacky Cake VIII

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
I thought this was a bit rubbery in texture, but it tasted good, considering there isn't any butter in it. I served it with powdered sugar sprinkled on top.

Caramel Corn IV

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2007
I thought this was a good recipe; very crisp and tasty. Because I have a sweet tooth, I used 3/4 cup of corn instead of 1c. I popped it with canola oil. I also noticed a slightly burned, bitter taste some others mentioned. I think I'll bake it at a lower temp or for less time next time I try it. Cleanup was not hard after soaking the pans and spoons in hot water.
