Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2013
Family loved it! I cooked on low for 8 hours. I added the veggies, minus the cabbage, 4 hours into it. Added the cabbage for the last hour and it was perfect. I used Bud Light and added a bit of garlic powder. I think next time I will use the suggestion of a tea ball or maybe wrap the seasonings into cheesecloth to avoid having to pick out the peppercorns and other spices.

Lemon Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2012
Outstanding! I doubled the recipe and next time I will make even more. I took some reviews into consideration and added the juice of one lemon to the doubled recipe. I also used 1/2 of the oil and replaced that amount with applesauce and same with whole wheat flour. I would like to try a lemon glaze but am afraid of the calorie count that adds. I dont think it needs it really but I do LOVE lemon

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
This was delicious. My family loved it. I had leftover chicken broth from Thanksgiving so I used that instead of water and chicken cubes. I had tomato sauce and not tomato soup. And I prefer pinto beans instead of black beans. Those were the only changes I made. This was awesome!

Deluxe Turkey Club Pizza

Delicious pizza. I was weary of the lemon with mayo but it turned out great. I didnt have sesame seeds or mushrooms but it still tasted great.

Stuffed Pattypan Squash

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
This is a keeper. I got pattypan squash in my CSA box and had no idea what to do with it. Ive used bacon bits from the fridge and sauted with some olive oil and used real bacon and both turned out great. Im not great at stuffing things though so I cut them enough so they lay flat and dolloped the bread mixture on top.

Crab Rangoon II

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2011
I loved these. I dont know why people dont like them more. I had bok choy from my CSA box but didnt have the peas. The bok choy adds a very unique and wonderful taste. Only cut up the green leaves and not the white part - in case you have never used this before. You can sneak the bok choy past the kids because it cooks down so much. My family loved them.

Spicy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
My husband and I loved this recipe. I blended 4-5 tomatoes, 2 jalapenos, 1/4 onion and several healthy shakes of tapatio, but im sure the recipe will change each time dependent on what I have on hand. I would use a can of mexican stewed tomatoes or Rotel Mexican recipe next time as well. I also browned the pork chops with salt and pepper on each side for a couple minutes before removing to sautee the onions and peppers.

Garlic Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
Family loves it! Cuts out the mess of having to butter and season when hot and the butter cooks down into the corn. I will be cooking it like this from now on.
