Rhubarb Surprise Pie

This was really good! Everyone loved it, and both neighbors wanted the recipe. A really easy recipe with excellant taste. I did add 1/4 cup of sugar in with the strawberry jello mixed to combine all then poured into the crust. Thank you for the recipe!

Teena's Overnight Southern Buttermilk Biscuits

This recipe is the best! My son loves buttermilk biscuits said these are his new favorite. It is great being able to make the dough the night before, I used a baking stone to bake them on and they turned out perfect! Excellant with sausage gravy too:)

Honey Bun Cake I

This is a really good sweet cake! Tastes just like the honey bun sweet rolls. I did use a Bundt pan and used only half the glaze,brushed it on with a pastry brush evenly over sides and top. otherwise followed the recipe as written My family couldn't leave it alone! Good with coffee or a glass of milk!

Hasselback Potatoes

I use red potatoes leave the skin on, I use chop sticks one on each side of the potato to make the cuts verses the other method its faster. These are really good there also referred to as an accordian style potato.

Buttermilk Pound Cake II

made as directed, it has good flavor but way to dry and crumbly after sliced after 90 minutes baking time. May have to do with altitudes? Were 3,000 ft. Next time i will try the 60 minutes as another review suggested. I also followed the advice of using 1 cup powdered sugar with enough lemon juice to make a glaze it was very tasty but everyone had to have milk poured over the top to moisten it up.

Mexican Whole Wheat Flour Tortillas

Im sorry these just weren't what I was expecting with all the great reviews I thought they would be really good, they did have good flavor but no one ate more than one and the texture was like a pie crust,I have made white flour tortillas for 20 years and have rave reviews everytime so its not like I was a beginner at making tortillas. I will try another recipe for whole wheat tortillas as I like whole wheat pizza dough and bread.

This made 8 personal size pizza crusts for us and it held up well on the BBQ for grilling we loved the texture and was chewy which we like, great recipe! We made some thick and some thin crust both were equally good!

Danish Rye Bread

Excellant bread! Rye dough is supposed to be sticky and hard to handle thats what gives you the right texture. followed the directions with no problems at all. Were Danish and loved this recipe:)

Arrachera (Skirt Steak Taco Filling)

This recipe is the best I have ever tried I followed the directions to a tee. I made this several times, this last time I used a different brand of achiote seasoning it was a terrible almost bitter taste, that might be why there were some reviewers saying it was bland tasting. Definately buy a good quality of achiote seasoning there are several kinds available.

I wanted to give this a five star rating but the filling was bland I made this as the recipe stated, tasted it half way through the cooking time, it was bland so I added more of the spices to suit my tastes.
