About this Cook
I am 14 and my name is Ashley. My dad is the one who got me into cooking. I have a very good sweet tooth so I love to bake. I live in Missouri. Not a lot of kids like to cook so I sometimes bake cookies and bring them to school. Like pumpkin, chocolate, peanut butter. One day I would really LOVE to go into a cooking or baking contest and I would LOVE to win. If I don't it'll be okay (at least I practiced). So if you know of any in Missouri tell me... Email ashley111228@hotmail.com!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake cakes, pies, and cookies. Although cookies are not my favorite food I still like to bring them to school sometimes and watch my friends ask for more! ;)! I also love making pasta. I am not so bad at it. I am getting better.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pies and breads during October-December. Then King Cake during Mardi Gras. We don't really have traditions.
My cooking triumphs
For a church function I made a coconut cream pie ALL BY MYSELF. I was 12. It was really good. All the people said it was so good that they wanted the recipe.
My cooking tragedies
I have two really horrible tragedies. 1. I wanted to make my dad a cake for his birthday and my stepmom said I could before he got home while they were at work. So I mixed it up and put it in the oven and put a timer on. Then...... I fell asleep. I woke up and was like "that cake is gonna be good" then I remembered it was still in the oven. I ran upstairs and pulled it out. Luckily it was only a little burnt on the bottom (I was 15 minutes late). My parents came home and was like "ooooo the cake looks good" then they ate it and was like crinching and trying to eat it. "mmm good" They were trying to make me feel good. 2. The second tragedie was when I finished reading this romance novel a year ago. I decided I wanted to try to make the little cake bites that were in the front of the book. So I read the recipe and did it. I thought I was doing everything right. But it turned I wasn't. I really don't know what went wrong. But the cake balls were not fluffy at all, they were not even shap

Pumpkin Bread I
I really do love this bread.... All you have to do is add spices as you like... I made it and it was really good. It was a healthy dessert and snack choice.
