Argentinean Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
This is about as close to the traditional "Ensalada Rusa" as I've tasted. It's a great companion to the Argentine Asado (BBQ). I personally like more mayo, so I increased it to 1 cup. Also, the mayo in Argentina is lemony to begin with, so the lemon juice here is very important. You can also buy similar Mayo in Latin markets (Mayonesa elaborada con limon).

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
I was skeptical at first, but this recipe is the BOMB! I couldn't stop eating these. My wife makes banana bread a lot, but this recipe takes the cake. I added some streusel topping (sugar, butter, flour), but other than that, used the same recipe. As mentioned by other reviewers, cook at 325 for 1 hour and 10 or 15 minutes. 300 is too low...

Vegan Split Pea Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
Probably the best split pea soup I've had. I used a pressure cooker and cut down on the time to cook it. Still turned out great. I added some crushed red peppers for spice and added kick.

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
Decent enough as a base recipe. However, IMO, the flour to egg ratio (key for crepes) is a little too flour-heavy.

Four Cheese Margherita Pizza

Combine this with Jay's Signature pizza dough and you have an incredible pizza! I like fresh mozzarella and I also add a little muenster as a twist.

Chicken, Spinach, and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
A tasty soup that allows for a lot of improvisation or add-ins: chopped avocado, bacon bits, even more lentils, or fried, firm tofu instead of chicken. We really enjoyed the great flavors!

Guacamole

Incredibly simple and tastiest guac ever! I travel to Mexico on business a lot and this is even better than a lot of guac I have down there.
