About this Cook
I started to cook very young, I would help my grandfather in the kitchen make almost anything. In high school I took all the cooking courses available, then attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts School in Ottawa, were I received my Diplomat in Cuisine and a basic pastry certificate. I think cooked professional for 7 years before deciding I much prefer just cooking at home for friends and family.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything, but I really love French and Italian foods. I would have to say my all time favorite thing to cook is something new.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making tradional French Tourtiere at Christmas time. We usually make 60-100 pies.

My first attempt at doing a wedding cake, good thing it was just the practice run!

Pumpkin White Chocolate Cookies
Theses cookies were amazingly soft, my kids loved them as well as my co-workers. However the one time I made them I had to add about another cup of flour because the first batch I made came out as flat square cookies, added more flour problem fixed. The next time I made them I didn't add any extra flour but made them into small cupcakes. All times I added a lot more of the spices and a teaspoon of salt. Over all though the taste was good and they were moist and soft, just needed a bit of tweaking.

Berry-Blue Corn Muffins
These made a nice and healthy snack for the kids that they really enjoyed. I found them a bit plain so I added some cinnamin and nutmeg to spice it up a bit.

Mary Wynne's Crabapple Jelly
Had great taste, but mine refused to set no matter how much pectin/certo I put in. I made 3 batches and none turned out.
