Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
This soup is delicious! I used 4 chicken breasts instead of 3, used chicken broth instead of beer, added 2 garlic cloves, 1/2 tsp. of cumin, a dash of red pepper flakes, and a small can and a 1/2 of green chiles (didn't have diced tomatoes with chiles like the recipe called for).... the flavour was great and was not as "bland" as some reviewers said. A lot of the reviews on this recipe are rather "fussy" saying you MUST use the beer, and you MUST add more spices, etc. I made it as mentioned and it was perfectly delicious!

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
Followed the recipe to a T and it came out PERFECT! Very, very yummy! I baked it in 2 large tin loaf pans, at 325 for exactly 2 hours (they are quite large loaves). They came out so moist! Will definitely be making this again!

Strawberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
WOW.... THIS IS AMAZING!!! Instead of making the strawberry sauce and swirling it into the cake, I just topped the cake with canned cherry pie filling. It was DEVINE! Best cheesecake I have ever made or tried. Better than the cheesecake at the local bakery! It is very, very rich. This recipe can serve about 15 people. YUM!! A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Peanut Butter Balls II

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
Great recipe. Lots of other people mentioned that they stuck the balls in the fridge or freezer before dipping because they were sticky - mine were actually a bit crumbly and dry. They were still easy to form into balls, but I had no problem dipping them right away. :) I used a spoon to dip them into the chocolate. I also found that the choc chips needed more shortening so the chocolate was thin enough to coat the balls in. I think I used about 4 tbsp. of shortening.

Spiced Mixed Nuts

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
These are extremely easy and cheap to make, and are EXCELLENT! They were so good that I made a double batch to give in a Christmas baking exchange, and the recipient loved them too! I'll be making these time and time again. :)

Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
Great recipe! I tweaked it a little here and there. Nothing major.... although I did use chicken broth for half the water, added a can of cream of chicken soup, and some fresh garlic. My Mom always made really dense dumplings (that I never liked). These ones were fantastic. Light and fluffy! Great meal for a cold winter day. I'll be making this again!

It was alright. A little dry. Not sure if I will make it again.

I've made this frosting twice now and it's great! I bake and sell decorated cakes and used this recipe on two cakes I sold with rave reviews! Thank you!

Snickerdoodles II

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
Excellent cookies - my favourite!! My husband did not care for these as he is into more "rich" cookies like peanut butter or chocolate chip, but I thought these were great. They are light and have just the right amount of sweetness to them. This is the third time I've made them and will make them again!

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
Absolutely perfect!! I've made a few different cinnamon roll recipes, trying to find one that my husband would love (he is big on cinnamon buns!) and these ones are a winner! Very impressed with house fluffy and flaky they are. I let them rise an extra 1/2 hour each time. They're delicious!

Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
Absolutely DELICIOUS!! My husband and I tried potato soup for the first time in a restaurant recently and loved it - I was hoping to recreate it at home and this recipe tasted just like it! I added some bacon to it at the end and topped each bowl of soup with shredded cheddar cheese. I also served it with toasted cheese buns. A huge hit!

Absolutely Best Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I screwed these up and they still turned out great! I didn't notice that I needed "self rising flour" until half way through the recipe, so I used all purpose flour, and added 1 tsp. of baking powder and 1 tsp. of baking soda (this was before reading all the reviews and realizing that I didn't need the baking soda or as much baking powder!!) I doubled the recipe, and it turned out delicious! Not quite as "fudgy" or chocolatey as I like, but still good nonetheless! I'd make them again, but try to get it right next time. ;)

Best Chicken Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
Delicious! Even my fiance and Dad (who are not big chicken-lovers) LOVED this! I added about 1 tsp. each of salt, pepper, garlic salt, and montreal chicken spice to the cornflake crumbs. I also ommitted the butter. Baked 4 large chicken breasts for 45 mins and they were done wonderfully. So moist and YUMMY!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
AWESOME COOKIES! Must be my oven, but I had to bake them for 16 minutes at 375. They weren't quite done after 10. Nobody else seemed to have this problem though, so I'm thinking it's my old oven. ;) A++++++++++!

The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
Loved this recipe!! I doubled the meatballs and tripled the sauce (I served them as appetizers in a crock pot, so I wanted lots of sauce!) They were fantastic. Thanks for a great recipe! I'm keeping this one and making it over and over. :)

I also found these to be a bit cakey for my liking. They were still good though! Don't think I'll make them again.
