Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
Not so amazingly good as all of the reviews had me expecting and definitely not worth the trouble to make. The chocolate cookie part was pretty bland and even though I took them out at exactly the right time (solid, but not burnt/browned on the bottom), they were hard and dry by the next day. An easy method of covering the PB balls: flatten some chocolate dough on the palm of your hand, peel it up, place the PB ball in the middle, make 2 opposite edges of the chocolate dough meet and pinch the edges together.

Fettuccini Alfredo I

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
Wow, I was pleasantly surprised at how well this turned out. It was really easy, although you have to make sure that while it is thickening you keep stirring/whisking the bottom of the saucepan so that it doesn't get lumpy--which can get a little bit tricky if you are juggling boiling pasta, a grilling chicken breast, and the sauce! It only got four stars because it was a little on the bland side for my taste, but I will definitely make it again and just experiment a little bit to liven it up.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
De-licious! We made this for dinner despite my skepticism about how much a pain in the butt I expected it to be. Turns out, this was really very easy to make. The flavors in the sauce complement the chicken, ham, and cheese very well, and the sauce isn't too "winey," as I tend to find some wine sauces. It turned out very well and is a pretty goof-proof recipe.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
The chicken stayed very moist, but other than that, this recipe was pretty unremarkable. It was okay--kind of bland (even with some extra seasonings thrown on). To it's credit, the breading actually stuck to the chicken, although I coated the chicken in flour before the egg and also cooked the chicken on each side for 5 minutes at a time. Probably wouldn't make it again, but it's a good starting point to tweak from.

Chicken Nepiev

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
Eh....it was okay. I was expecting that it would be amazing, seeing as how it involved cream cheese; but it was barely mediocre. The italian seasoning didn't really work in this recipe, and there were none of the mentioned "drippings" to pour over the chicken before serving. It was okay, but I won't make it again.
