Crunchy Coleslaw

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2007
This is a great slaw recipe for those not wanting all the mayonaise. Olive oil works great here too.

Slow Cooker Western Omelet

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
I made this last night just so we could have a lazy morning today and I am glad I did. I did use the crock pot liner which will help with clean up. The only "problem" I encountered was a little grease at the top from all the cheese. I removed that with a paper towel and all was well. I will add more seasonings next time just to pump up the overall flavor. It is a good base recipe that you can tweak to make to your own likings.Green chilies would be great in it.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
My whole family loved this recipe!! I too added the sliced onions just because we like them with our sandwiches. I also took the meat out and shredded it and added it back to the pot and then put the crock pot on warm until supper time.I did use a sirloin tip roast just because that is my favorite roast.

Spanish Rice II

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2008
This recipe was delicious!! This was definitely better than the boxes of spanish rice mixes!! I did not alter the recipe at all and it was perfect. For my family I was able to use the mild flavor of tomatoes and chilies, but you can spice it up to your own liking. This is a definite keeper!!

Neat Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2008
Very easy recipe to follow and absolutely delicious!! The only thing I did differently was not adding the celery. I cooked the meat in the skillet then threw everything in the crock pot so I could run some errands. It only needed a couple of hours on high just to get everything blended together. The kids and husband said to make it again soon and no more canned mixes!!

Sticky Monkey Brains

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
I let my three kids help me make these today and they were a huge hit! I made something similar to this in high school and had to go back to that recipe in a pinch, because I was running low on butter. I dipped by biscuit in milk and then in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Then I mixed what butter I had with the brown sugar and poured it over top. I, too, used one large pan and they needed a little longer cooking time, but they were well worth the wait. The kids want monkey brains again....soon!!!

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
This was an excellent recipe! You definetly need to use lean ground beef. The only changes I made was to use beef broth instead of water and I also used the low salt version of the cream of mushroom soup. This is one my family said to make again quickly!
