Ten Clove Garlic Marinade

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
Oh my Goodness! This is absolutely delicious. I halved the oil, just sliced the onions (instead of chopped/diced), and marinated a bottom round roast for 48 hours. Then put it in the slow cooker for 8 hours and made BBQ sandwiches with it. Since the onions were sliced, I pulled them out before shredding the beef and used them as a topping for the sandwiches.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
I used what I had on hand: strawberry yogurt (1% milkfat, not fat free), white chocolate chips, and half whole wheat flour. Yummy! I also baked them without cupcake liners (used non-stick spray) and they turned out nice and crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. My toddler has already eaten two and they just came out of the oven 2 hours ago!

Quick Zesty Green Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
I couldn't find Old Bay Blackened so I made my own blackened seasoning and seasoned the beans with half Regular Old Bay and half blackened seasoning. Wow! This was delicious. The pecans were a great addition. The beans tasted so great that I tried the seasoning and pecans with broccoli and that was a hit too (my toddler ate the broccoli version). Yummy!

BAKER'S Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
Yummy! I made them without the chocolate chunks/chips by accident. I moved them out of the reach of my toddler and then forgot about them until the cookies were already in the oven. Even so, they are absolutely delicious. I used 1/2 cup whole wheat flour and 1/2 cup all purpose. Great recipe.

Grandma's Fresh Apple Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
This is delicious. I used half whole wheat flour and half all purpose flour and added a little more apples. I shredded the apples, which I think made it more moist. My toddler gobbles this up. I have made this twice, once with regular raisins and once with golden raisins without the nuts. I prefer the regular raisins, and the nuts add another great dimension to the cake/bread.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

These were pretty good. A little too sweet. Next time I will make with reduced sugar jam.

Fabulous French Loaves

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
Absolutely the best french bread. No more buying it at the grocery store. So easy and delicious. I accidentally cooked it at 450 degrees for 18 minutes and it turned out perfect. I also halved the recipe and made one huge loaf. I did find the dough to be a little sticky, so I rolled the dough out on wax paper sprayed with Pam. It didn't stick at all and rolled up perfectly.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
Wonderful! I sprayed wax paper with Pam like another reviewer suggested and that made it so easy to roll out and then roll up. I didn't have any cream cheese for the icing, so I used all of the other ingredients and substituted a splash of milk. Yummy!

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
Yummy. Added some lemon zest as other reviewers suggested. My husband loved these! Update: I added some chopped pecans to the crust before baking. Made it even better!

Whole Wheat Refrigerator Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
The absolute best rolls ever! So light and fluffy. They stay moist and soft for days stored in a ziploc bag. Note: I used less all purpose flour than was called for. I just knead it right in the mixing bowl, which may cause the reduction in the amount of flour. Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
Great, easy recipe. Followed other reviews and increased the peanut butter and reduced the sugars. Also halved the recipe and it made 1/2 inch thick bars in an 8 x 8 dish. Also used Saran Wrap, which was a lifesaver...you don't want to waste any of this fudge by having it stick to the dish!

Cilantro Tomato Corn Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
Absolutely wonderful. I used what I had on hand: frozen corn (about 3 cups), a little yellow onion, and a regular tomato. I sauted the corn, onion, and garlic in 2 T butter and then added the tomato, jalepeno, cilantro (about a 1/4 bunch), chopped green onion, and lemon pepper and salt. Yummy!

Grandma's Sweet Slaw

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2008
Very simple and tastes great. I use a 12 oz bag of pre-shredded broccoli slaw mix and add some celery seeds to the dressing. This version definitely needs to sit for a few hours to let the dressing soak into the veggies.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2008
I have made this recipe many times over the last few years and it is always a hit. I change the pudding flavors to give different flavors. This last time I made it with French Vanilla pudding mix. Chocolate is good too. You can't go wrong with this recipe (except for overcooking the cookies - 11 -12 minutes tops!)

Chickpea Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2008
My family really enjoyed this soup. I doubled the chicken broth and garlic, added 16 ounces of frozen mixed veggies (corn, green beans, carrots, and peas variety), and added some cayenne pepper for some kick. It's a very colorful and eyecatching vegetable soup. A nice change from ordinary vegetable soup.

Home Style Macaroni and Cheese

Great recipe, my toddler gobbled it up. I doubled the amount of pasta, added more cheese, and didn't put the topping on. Yummy!

Southwestern Vegetarian Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2007
I, personally, would rate this 4 stars because I had to add a lot more seasoning. However, I am giving it a five because my 22-month-old loved this dish. I didn't even try to give him some, but he took his spoon and dug in, eating all of the ingredients and saying "Yum". Wow! That is coming from a toddler who will not eat any vegetables at all!
