I love to cook and I have been cooking ever since I can remember. The first time I remember making something was when I was about 3 or 4 years old. I have a lot of food allergies including peanuts, so sometimes it is hard to find good recipes. I still love cooking though!!
My favorite things to cook
I like to make any kinds of dessert, and to try new recipes. I have created a couple slow-cooked recipes, which I think are really tasty. I like to have fun with any cooking I do.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I loved growing up having my parents teaching me how to cook. It was always so much fun.
My cooking triumphs
I made my first turkey a couple days ago. I am happy to say that it turned out better than I thought it would. It was really good!
My cooking tragedies
I have tried a few times to make apple pie. A couple of times the filling turned into apple soup. I have also had trouble with pizza crust in the past. It never seems to cook through when I make it. I am glad to have found allrecipes since their recipes are rated. So now I can read reviews to make sure that my apple pie doesn't turn into goup!

Steak Marinade
I made this recipe last night. I used red wine vinegar, because I didn't have red wine vinegar salad dressing. I also added in about 1/4 of a finely sliced onion. Marinated the steak in that for a couple hours, cooked the steak, and reserved the marinade for a sauce. I boiled the marinade and just added about 1/4 cup of brown sugar to it. Then served it over the steak. Really tasty!
