Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
This was the most tender pulled pork I have ever had. It's only as good as your bbq sauce though. So play with it and customize your sauce. I used stubbs (texas thing) spicy and added brown sugar. Next time I will split the pork in half and use 2 different sauces. I also used pork loin roast. (mostly white meat) instead of tenderloin. Thanks for the easy yummy recipe

Smothered Green Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
This smelled amazing cooking! I halfed the amount of bacon and added extra garlic. They are a little greasy but that's southern style green beans ya'll. I will try other suggestions next time and drain the grease. For health's sake. Can't beat fresh green beans and their cheap. Just make sure you cook em 3 or 4 days after you buy em

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
This is good meatloaf. I baked mine in the oven for about 1hr 20 mins in a glass loaf pan. I like things that have alot of strong flavor, so I will spice it up next time but as regular meatloaf this is great. You should make double the topping. I made this with the smothered greenbean recipe on here.

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
absolutely the best! everytime I make this for someone new they always request it for their birthday, office potlucks, just because. It's a winner. Do not I repeat put banana pudding mix in this recipe, it will ruin it. It's too fake. The natural bannana will give it all the flavor it needs.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
absolutely, the best! My son's father asked for succhini bread for fathers day. My son says this is the best bread he has ever ate. I did put some chocolate chips in it. I tried to put peanut butter and chocolate chips in it. The peanut butter made it too soft. It was moist as can be. Blew everyone away! Thanks so much

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
The best Pinto Beans ever! We really liked this recipe. Please soak your beans! I noticed the low ratings were all complaints of the beans being crunchy. Also, I cooked the beans for 3 hours. You can find the green salsa (ina can) in the mexican section of your grocery store next to the canned jalepeno. Thank you for this great recipe!

San Antonio Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
This was super easy and fantastic! My 10 year ols son called it a 9.5 on his scale. It's a great way to get him to eat veggies. He also said it was a once a week kind of meal. Everyone loved it. I will say this if you are making this and think you might have leftoves. Don't put the lettuce and chips in until you are ready to eat it the next day. Next time I will add the chips and lettuce last. Great recipe!

Beefy Barbecue Macaroni

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
I did make some changes to this recipe so I gave it a four star rating. But as I made it, it was a three star. I didn't put enough garlic (I ran out). I didn't make the cheese sauce because of what some of the other reviewers said. I just mixed the cheese up with it not using the milk or butter. As I made this it was bland. I think I will try this as chili mac.

Gourmet Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
These were good but need a little extra flavor. I may try to add a half package of ranch dressing mix or something. But everyone really liked these, I would reduce the recipe because these weren't really good for leftovers.

Tater Tot Casserole I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
This was a good recipe when you need alot of food quickly and inexpensively. The only thing I did different was add diced onion when I was cooking the sausage and add 2 extra eggs. Also you might consider adding a little cheese to the top a few minutes before you get it out of the oven. Overall, a keeper.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This is the only banana bread I will eat. Everyone loves it! It easy to make and fool proof. The cinnamon and sugar coating gives it a little crunchy coating. Make it and freeze 2 of the loaves. Thank you for the recipe.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
Fantastic if you want to wow everyone at that upcoming get together or christmas party. I made one and took it to work and everyone just ate it up! It's easy enough to make on a work night. I left out the cloves cause I didn't have any. Much, Much better than plain ole pumpking pie!

Sausage Pizza Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
This is a good one! For a large family it's a great cheap recipe. I made some changes. I doubled the sauce because it wasn't enough. I added mushrooms, green bell pepper and onion. Next time I will add black olives. I also mixed in 3 tablespoons of parmesan. I would say what I made would feed at least 9 easily. Very large recipe.

This recipe is a fantastic base for all kinds of dishes. We really liked it, but we ended up adding ranch, chiles, and extra ground pepper after it was cooked to add flavor. It was a little bland. Overall, it gave us a ton of new ideas for next time. We will make it agian. Thanks for the great recipe.
