I am married to an awesome guy and I have 4 kids (14, 9, 5, 3). I love decorating my home and enjoy several hobbies which include scrapbooking, gardening, and camping.

I just love to cook and now I have more time to slip out of the comfort zone. My kids love Mexican style food and I just love to cook it for them.

Baking all the candies and cookies for christmas.
My cooking triumphs
My husband always said he didn't like pot roast. I knew it was because I counld't fix it without it tasting so bland. Finally thanks to this site I can fix pot roast with the best of you and he actually admits he likes pot roast.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to fix chili once and didn't have chili seasoning..so I threw in a thing of taco seasoning...my dads dog wouldn't even eat it. Really.

Buttery Soft Pretzels
OMGoodness!!! These are so good. Making my second batch this week. the family LOVES these. I followed the recipe except using only 4 cups of flour. I bought nacho cheese for dipping my next batch.

Asian Lettuce Wraps
I made these last night and I loved them. My kids did not...It was just alien to them lol. I made mine useing chopped pork loin and added in some chopped cashews for more crunch then followed the rest of the recipe. Before wrapping I drizzled more Hoisen sauce. I also made the sauce other viewers suggested using shiracha pepper sauce...WOW!! I cant say I will make these again unless I can find a way to make it more appealing to my kids. But glad I made them. Maybe next time I will make it up and throw in broccoli and snow peas and lose the lettuce...making them think its more like stir fry, which they love. The flavor of this and the sauce was wonderful.

I never had these and thought I would try them since I had extra wrappers. We loved them. Have made them several times since...especially love the crunch of the water chesnuts!!!
