Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
I thought these patties were great, and so did my husband. The only change I made was to add garlic powder. I will definitely make them again.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
A little on the sweet side, but soooo good. Company raved about it, and my husband thinks it to die for. I'm not a bread pudding fan, and, as a matter of fact, the first one I've ever made...certainly not the last time though.....great!

A Baker's Secret for Bread Machines

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
With the exception of the cinnamon, I made this recipe to the letter...the bread rose beautifully and had great texture and flavour. Going to make again for sure...(gotta make sure I didn't just get lucky) :) j/k thanks Rob!

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
This past Christmas was the first time I've ever brined a turkey...what a treat! I had to cook 4 turkeys on different days this year, and each and every one turned out perfectly. I printed out copies of the recipe, because I knew after the first one that people would request the recipe the next time. One of the turkeys cooked waaaay too quickly and was actually overcooked, but to my great surprise, it was still as moist and tender as could be, even though it was literally falling off the bone. Both my sisters and 3 of my friends all tried it, and all were thrilled with the results. I'll never cook another turkey (or chicken, for that matter), without brining it again. Thanks for a great recipe.

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2006
Oh yes....this is a winner....both my sons-in-law, who despise blue/roquefort cheese loved this salad, and have requested it the last 3 times they've been for dinner. I use blue cheese each time, other than that, no changes and have had nothing but rave reviews all the way around....thanks for a great recipe.

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2006
These are without a doubt the easiest, most wonderful lava cakes ever!. I have made them many times, and no matter whether I use butter or margarine, good chocolate, or chocolate chips, they are always delicious. I don't make them in muffin cups, but rather, creme brulee dishes so I don't have to mess with paper muffin cups and have to remove them from a pan....just top them with the raspberries, ice cream, whipped cream or what have you! Excellent, fool proof recipe. Thank you

Pork Chops with Fresh Tomato, Onion, Garlic, and Feta

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
My, my, my...this was sooooo good! The only thing I changed was, I used a 28oz can of diced tomatoes. I would change nothing else, it was absolutely wonderful! I lie...I did change it, I also tried it with chicken thighs...every bit as good as the pork. The feta cheese really added zip. Made it for company, they took home the recipe....made it for my married children and spouses...and both daughters have made it at home, and I only found the recipe 3 weeks ago! Just one other thing...I used white balsamic the first time (to keep the colour more pleasing), was very good, however, it had just a little more spunk with the dark version. For those of you who find pork chops too dry, try pork shoulder steak...I rarely use chops and find the pork steak is always more moist and flavourful.

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
These are wonderful...I didn't have enough almonds, so I did a 3rd of each, almonds, walnuts and pecans...believe it or not, the walnuts were everyone's favourite. Costco sells the freshest, best tasting walnuts, so they really came through in this recipe. I'm about to make my 3rd batch and it's not even Christmas yet. :) Thanks BJ
