Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
I felt guilty the entire time I was making this. My grandma's homemade pineapple upside-down cake is wonderful. However, after trying this one....it will be the one I always use. I used a butter-yellow cake mix and had enough pineapple juice to substitute for the entire liquid requirement. This was wonderful!!! Our trusty skillet is only a 10 1/2 inch, so I had some extra materials for 6 cupcakes. Wonderful!!

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
AMAZING!!!! The only thing I changed was adding a small amount of procscuttio to the pan with the mushroom stems and garlic. Everything else was exact! This is wonderful!!!! Thank you for sharing.

Mini Pumpkin Butterscotch Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
These are great! My kids won't stop eating them and asking for more! The mini muffin size make it like a little soft cookie treat instead of a muffin. I added 2-3 butterscotch chips to the top of each muffin before baking to make the tops pretty. Yummy!!! Don't change anything!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2010
No need to look any further. This is the only apple pie recipe to use! There is nothing better, and I love that there is a bit of a Grandma Ople in all of us who bake this awesome pie.

Yummy. I followed the recipe as it is and it was great! I even used ground turkey breast and it still turned out moist and scrumptious.

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
I have made this before with Peanut Butter kisses topped with M&M's and it too was wonderful. Just open your mouth and pop them in. I took them off the cookie sheet as quick as possible because they still melt a little while sitting on it.

This is delicious! I make this a lot! It is so good with tortilla chips, but I swear it would be good with just a fork!

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
Very nice and versatile. Even my kids love this one. I add 2 cans of tomatoes instead of 1 and no vinegar. I also use chicken broth in place of water. You could really do anything to this and it would be yummy. I add cut up low fat turkey keilbasa and that works great.

Pumpkin Bar Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
Yum. Great on the Pumpkin bars, and I suppose on any other kind of cake. I followed it as it is printed and it was very tasty. I added a little tad of 1/2 and 1/2 just to make it easier to mix though.

Pumpkin Bars I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
Yum Yum...although they are more a cake than a bar. I also used the pumpkin bar icing from this site, and I can't imagine them without it.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
Ok, the first day I was not so sure...the longer it stays in the fridge the better it is. I used a cinnamon swirl bread that worked well. I also used half n half instead of plain milk. I love butterscotch so this was yummy, but I think if a person could find cinnamon chips or perhaps even cut up caramels that would be much better. Either way, it was easy and yummy.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
I made these with PB chips, and everyone loved them....not my favorite, but that may be because I don't really like a chocolate cookie anyways. They were easy to make and looked nice.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
I've tried lots of pumpkin breads and they all seem to be good, but this one is for sure the best. Just sweet enough, just moist enough, just the right amount of spice. Yum! I added a bag of semi-sweet choco chips, and that made it very chocolatly. Next time maybe half a bag? Delicious though!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
I have been searching for just the right banana bread. This recipe is it! I followed the recipe exactly. My sour cream was light, and that didn't matter in the least. So moist and delicious. The cinnamon/sugar mixture on the sides and top really make a very nice touch. Yum Yum.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2009
Oh my gosh Yummm!!! The only change I made was to use butter instead of shortening. I also used a previous reader's advice and took the cookies out while they were "cracked" on top and wet inside. Then, I immediatly put them on a cooling rack. They were soooo delicious and easy.

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
I used wheat flour instead of the white, and 1/2 cup buttermilk added to 1 cup skim, and added 1 more scoop of sugar. Yum Yum. They were very "wheaty" though, so next time I won't use all wheat flour.

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
My husband was literally pouting as I made these sandwiches. (He would eat meat for every meal) He ate two entire sandwiches! That speaks volumes. I used a very large head of garlic, so the cloves were extra large as well-and it was a little too much garlic. So beware of that, other than that, Yum.

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
Yum Yum Yum!!! I used foil packets and and baked in oven at 425 for 20 minutes. Otherwise, I followed recipe exactly and it was delish! Even my 5 year old and 2 year old ate it. It had a nice light and semi-sweet taste. Thank you for the recipe I will use this many more times.
