Curried Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
Weirdest recipe ever (curry + canned soup?), but DELICIOUS and FAST. My husband loved this even better than a time consuming curry I made from this site. If I can please him with a LOT less work, I'm headed for this one, no brainer! Try it!

Thai-Style Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
This is extremely good and very easy. I used 6 chicken breasts which I cut into chunks and marinated, and it worked very well with the chicken. Also, I didn't have the buttery spread so I substituted some canola oil. It's a wonderful, light recipe which I can't wait to make again!

Basil Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
Used Half & Half instead of heavy cream, since that was what I had on hand. Amazing! Even my 1 1/2 yr old wanted seconds... this one's definitely a keeper and super fast easy tasty meal!

Apple-Cinnamon Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
Great, easy recipe which is totally yummy! I chopped the bread and apples and just threw them in altogether, poured the liquid mixture over and then sprinkled the remaining cinnamon mixture on top (after stirring the first half in with the apples). Came out great and it was gone before I could blink.

Pear Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2013
This recipe is good, very much like apple pie. To make it a bit more exciting, however, I made a crumb topping out of 1/2 c. oats, 3 TBS brown sugar, 2 TBS melted butter and a dash of salt, instead of a top layer of pie crust. It came out very good! I would make it again.

Chicken in Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
Oh my goodness, this is one of the best meals I've ever made! I used 4 chicken legs with the thighs attached because I didn't want to take a whole chicken out and cut it up. It cooked faster, about 1 hour. Also, I was worried it would be too spicy for my kids, so I only added 1 jalapeño. It gave nice flavor, but no spice at all, so if you like a little zip I don't think both jalapeños and the cayenne pepper would be too much at all. I will put them all in next time. Amazing & awesome! Thank you for a great recipe!

Simple BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
These did taste really good, but my husband and I both wanted our ribs crisped up on the grill for a few minutes to give it that realy BBQ flavor. Also, the recipe doesn't state how long to boil the ribs. I boiled mine for 45 min, but it needed more time. Maybe an hour or more.

Ham and Broccoli Au Gratin

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
Very easy and tasty, a great way we used up our leftover Christmas ham. I didn't have the special broccoli pkgs, but I prefer fresh so I steamed my own, seasoned with salt & pepper, and added 1 extra cup of cheese to the filling. The rolls were a little gooey on the bottom, didn't bother me but I might go past the 25 min cooking time a little bit next time. Great recipe!

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
I made this recipe as described, and it was extremely dry and flavorless. There was no way I was going to serve it to my guests. After adding more mayo, garlic, and some italian salad dressing, etc., it came out great and I got great feedback, however I'm rating the recipe as it was written and made so many changes that I can't credit the great outcome to this recipe.

Scallop-Topped Portabello Mushrooms

This was a great new way to incorporate scallops into a meal besides broiling. I enjoyed it, my husband raved about it. It definitely made us a special Valentine's Day meal.

Hash Brown and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
I made this exactly as the recipe describes, and it just did not taste good to me. My husband, who isn't picky at all, didn't even eat the left overs and I ended up tossing them which is a rare occasion in our house.

Frozen Mudslide

Awesome! I made this with icecream as another reviewer suggested, and it was amazing. About 3 c. Vanilla Bean and about 1 c. of ice made this incredible.

Red Cabbage Salad II

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
I've been looking for some time for a recipe like this one, which is in a vinagrette and is not sweet like the more popular recipe. I had something like it when I was a kid and my grandparents took me to a restaurant that served this. It made an impression! And this is exactly how I remember it. Thank you!

I made as suggested with peas and carrots and extra spices and it still didn't really hit it out of the park for me. We never did get around to eating the leftovers.

Asian Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2012
This was a good, different and easy recipe. Not spicy, my 2 and 3 year old ate this and my husband loved it. Next time I will thicken the sauce before basting on the BBQ like another reviewer suggested. Served with a simple fried rice and it was perfect. Thanks!

Awesome Spicy Beef Kabobs OR Haitian Voodoo Sticks

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
VERY good! I like spicy flavor without burning off my mouth, so I used about 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper and it was on the top of my hot scale. Perfect wrapped in some grilled corn tortillas with a little bit of sour cream mixed with fresh garlic, cilantro and pinch of salt. It's a regular in my home now!
