Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
Great recipe! I switched the white sugar to brown. And ended up using about 3 1/2 cups of flour. I sprayed some canola oil Pam on the wax paper before rolling it out and they came off of the paper a lot easier.

Awesome recipe! I doubled the chocolate part of the recipe (not the mint center). I put them in the fridge to harden for about 2 hours.

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
Great frosting recipe! I did what other suggestions and increased the cocoa powder and decreased the powdered sugar. Although it was a lot more runny than I had hoped, it turned out great!

Kalacs (Hungarian Cinnamon Swirl Bread)

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
This recipe is amazing! After I proofed the yeast with the sugar and warm milk, I added the rest of the wet ingredients together and mixed well. I then mixed the flour and salt and added that to the wet ingredients. At this point I added mini semi-sweet chocolate chips to the dough before mixing and allowing it to rise. I only had one glass baking dish, so I used a metal one as well. Both loaves turned out great and I didn't adjust the time for either. Great recipe! Thanks for sharing!

Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
Great recipe! I used half granny smith and half jona gold apples. I also ended up adding 2TBL of tapioca to help the insides thicken. I used the Basic Flaky Pie Crust (from this site) for the pie crust. I also used less lemon zest...maybe less than a pinch. I couldn't find rolled oats, so I used 2 1/2 packages of instant oatmeal for the topping and it turned out great!
