Rosemary-Scented Pork Loin Stuffed With Roasted Garlic, Dried Apricots and Cranberries and Port Wine Pan Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
This was delicious. I did double the sauce recipe as suggested and I did not strain out the bits when I made the sauce also suggested. This recipe did not come in under $25 as someone said because I did buy hormone-free pork and that is a bit costly. Nonetheless, it was not dry and the stuffing is delicious and not heavy like traditional stuffing with bread - will definitely make again.

Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2005
This recipe is excellent. I used a whole chopped jalapeno pepper to kick it up. I also used ground cinammon. I don't like cilantro so I used regular parsley. I also went on the web and found out that the two cans would equal about 2 cups of fresh chickpeas which I found to be better since I like to avoid the sodium in the canned beans. Absolutely delicious and I will make it again and again.

Beezie's Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2005
I looked at the tips before making this soup. I boiled the beans on stove top for an hour and they were then soft. I sauteed the other ingredients and then put the beans in and mixed everything together. Did not seed the jalapeno pepper because I like spicy. I them dumped it all in the slow cooker and did not add salt until it was done. Cooked rice seperately adding toasted sesame oil to the water. Then added rice to the mixture and cooked last 20 mins. EXCELLENT!

I didn't care for this at all. Very little taste. Will not make this again.

Cholay (Curried Chickpeas)

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2004
This recipe is delicious. The only reason I did not give it 5* is because I wanted to know if I used fresh garbanzo beans how much to use to equal the two 15 oz. cans. I will make this again for sure -

Roasted Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2003
This soup is absolutely delicious and as one poster said "very flexible". I followed the recipe with all the required ingredients and added more sherry as was also suggested. I also added two hot chili peppers that I chopped finely and sauteed with the onions, etc. I was generous with the other spices, too (left out cayenne pepper). It is delicious with a kick!

Moroccan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2003
This recipe is delicious and easy to make. I read the reviews and based on them decided to add only ONE HALF CUP of chicken broth and that was enough to make the dish thick and rich with spices and chicken. It is delicious over basmati rice infused with toasted sesame oil and using the left over chicken broth!!

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2002
I read the reviews and said to myself, "this can't be true - too good to be true". It was Monday night at 9 pm and I said to myself, "I'll give it a try" and voila IT IS EXCELLENT! I had to stop myself because I wanted to eat all of the chicken breasts. I had all the ingredients on hand so I did the recipe exactly (except used red wine as noted in most of the reviews). Can't wait to pass this one on and will use again and again. . . . .

Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2002
my wings had too much sauce/juice when they were done. i poured off the sauce and removed some of the fat on the top. i took the meat off the wings and removed the bones and used the chicken with sauce over rice. DEFINITELY not spicy. would do it again with modifications (not so much chili sauce, and more hot sauce to spice it up). didn't care too much for the light color of the wings when done.
