About this Cook
I love to cook, baking desserts and preparing dinner for my son and his daddy are my favorite way to test new recipes. I'm preparing to go back to work and am not looking forward to it, I'd rather be a stay at home mom.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, cakes, brownies... chicken, rice, pork, beef... We eat a lot of spanish rice since the daddy is mexican and I also love preparing chinese fried rice. I'm still prefecting my chinese food cooking skills.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year when I was growing up my mom would make portsuqua I don't know if I spelled it right, but its a fabulous dessert. Not to mention the cinnamon rolls that we would make and eat once a year when we went to watch the hot air balloons.
My cooking triumphs
Finally finding a spanish rice recipe that my family loves. Doctoring my chocolate chip recipe to fit my needs and desires and learning how to use soy sauce.
My cooking tragedies
using too much soy sauce!

Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies
Pretty decent, but 15 minute cooking time is way too long. 13 minutes seem to be a pretty good length. I also added a tad bit extra sugar, baking powder, and salt. I substituted chocolate chips for peanut butter chips and didn't flatten the cookies too much for softer cookies. I also sprinkled a little bit of sugar on top of the cookies before they were cooked. Over all good cookies.
