Help, any suggestions appreciated. I too had the problem of cake cracking. I followed the directions to the letter. (used parchment paper on the pan) It cracked as I was unrolling it, then after spreading the frosting and re-rolling it cracked/split completely right about in the center. I was still able to roll it up and cover in plastic wrap and slice it, taste was excellent, so I give it excellent rating. Tried a second one and this time I put a piece of waxed paper on the dampened towel, sprinkled the powdered sugar on that and let it cool about 5 minutes longer. Same thing. Will definitely make it again, but would lke to make it w/o the cracks/splits so I can give it to friends. TIA for any help.
